So while I was listening to your video and feeding the cat, I was thinking man. He is really excited about this book. Then I realized I had set the playback speed to 1.25 on my last video and never put it back to normal. So you were blasting away at 1.25 baby. Lol made you sound super excited. 😂😂😂 Glad you found a good read for yourself and it wasn't even a western look at that. I also think it's interesting I didn't do this purposely but I have three horrors in my TBR this month. I love the spooky season but me personally August might be a little too soon but clearly not huh. Lol
I’ll have to make sure I start talking at 1.25 speed to sound more interested in the books I read😂 and that’s awesome! You can’t go wrong with reading horror books!! And hopefully those horror books get you in the mood to start celebrating a little earlier😂😂
I'm from Lamesa, and about a quarter of the way through the book. So far I'm excited that he's sprinkled in Lamesa stuff, it really feels like Lamesa and not just a generic small town with that name plugged in
I’m from Lubbock too! As soon as I heard this book was set in Lamesa, I was instantly intrigued! I hope I enjoy this book! I’ve never read horror before!
If you’ve never really read any horror books or watch any horror movies this book is a great starting place because it explains the tropes in the horror genre. Being from the area will definitely help you enjoy this book even more. I hope you enjoy it!
I’ve read some great books this year and I know I’ll have some more great books come up later in the year but I’d say it’s in the top 5 so far and has a great chance of being in the top 3 come the end of the year.
Glad you enjoyed your book.
Me too!

It definitely feels like he’s taking you on a tour of lamesa when you’re reading the book.
