He was the quarterback at my high school the last year of 6 consecutive high school championships that Banning high won. The things he did in that final game against our Rivals Carson high were ridiculous
@@DoubeEdged7 Jamelle probably outscored the entire opposing team, would be my guess. He outscored a number of teams OU played, actually. Yes, that OU "D" was one of the best in college football history, but when OU hung 77 points on Missouri, then 63 like the next week, it wouldn't be too hard to do.
I’m a Corn husker fan since 70’s. The two best option Qb I ever saw was Jamal and Darian Hagan from Colorado. I do remember Charles?? From Oklahoma won title as a freshman was good too but he shot gun off deck of apartment and they had to cut his crazy ass loose. Nebraska had Frazier and Eric Crouch and before them Turner Gill But Jamal and Darian were the most explosive I ever saw. Gospel
He could throw the ball well. Charles Thompson couldn't. I almost cried when he tore his knee. That was when he became human. Before that he was superhuman. Thanks for the memories Jamelle.
Murray best QB I ever saw at OU. Plus there were a 3rd stringer on this team I thought was OUr best QB named Eric Mitchell. Though Hollieway was the best passer of the 3
So good that a teenage fan in Scotland, who had never even seen him play, owned his shirt in 1985
Ok this is how to do a highlight video. Play great music but once in a while let us hear the calls from the game. This is perfect. 👏🏼
This is who I patterned my game after! Jamelle made me the Sooner fan I am today! 💪🏾
Me too. We have the same name. He made made want to be a qb when I was 12 years old and I studied the option like it was a math test. 😂
Banning Pilots! #4 Jammin’ Jamelle, “Computer Love”!
All time best deal-qb in the 80's
I had no idea!! what an absolute monster he was - multiple double digit rushing TD seasons, and almost 100 rushing yds a game!

31-6
Banning

Love this for pops 💙
Hollieway to Keith Jackson (LR Parkview)!!!!! Great choice in using that Eric B and Rakim 🎶🎶
I typically do not like to hear rap over highlight, but Hambone694 did a great job with the music selection and its presentation.

The baddest option Qb ever
The greatest ou qb
That was me in the early 90s
Show us your ring.
1:33 is just pure speed
Have you heard of a Sooner wishbone QB by the name of "Charles Thompson"!? 😃
he was the best dual threat before it was evena thing called a dual threat, dude shed tacklers like nothing. . dude would torch anyone. .
JC Watts was but not better

2:03 should be a much more famous highlight.
🔥🔥🔥
1:55 - forward pass. If behind line, no problem :-)
Who else used to say all the way hollieway when he ran the ball?
Today he'd be a first round draft pick!!!!!!!!! Should've been one back then also!!!!
Even in the 80s
Most NFL teams didn't want a black QB
@@DoubeEdged7 Uh, it was due to the fact that they didn't run the Wishbone in the NFL, not due to Jamelle's melanin content.
@@Bigfishfun333 the NFL had the I formation which is easier to run no excuse
B🅾️🅾️MER 🔥
SOONER !!!
Did these people say that # 4 was from California I gotta go look up the qb1 for USC and UCLA in 1986
Jamelle grew up and graduated from Carson, Ca.
Wilmington California
@@kaytlynryan7465he grew up in Carson but he didn't play for Carson he played for Banning
😤😮💨
I hold the microphone like a grudge…
Blew his knee out unfortunately. But when he was healthy he was the best option quarterback ever
Who y'all got- Murray or Holieway? I have Holieway for the Win! Murray is a LiL "B!
