I have a 120hp high output version of this model with 6-speed manual. Love the 3-cylinder engine sound. Sometimes I rev it unnecessary high just to hear it roaring
@@TheAchitori Lol they don't. It's perfectly fine for a grocery getter and the 3 cylinders are actually very well built these days. Plus they do sound better than 4 cylinders for example.
I like this car. I wish it was as good here in LATAM as the version they sell in Europe, because it's overly stripped down. Most importantly in the safety aspect of it.
10 kwietnia 2018 zamówiłem Kia Rio 1.2 85 km kolor UBG wersja L plus Navi. Auto które ma być użytkowane w mieście przez długie lata .Zobaczymy jak się sprawdzi.Oby tak dobrze jak moja kia Picanto (10 lat w rodzine)😇🤪🇵🇱
Hello from Spain. Can you help me? I'm looking for the relay of the indicators and there is no way. Can you tell me where they are and what is it? Can you help me ???. I hope thanks.
Not on the Rio. We are going to turbos on a lot of vehicles out here, and downsizing engine displacement, but not as small as 1.0 ltr. My 1.6 ltr is a direct injection, VVT, duel overhead cam and it has nice hwy power, but I’m not planning on racing anyone on the streets.

120hp is very nice for a car like the Kia Rio. Yeah the three cylinder sound is pretty nice :)
what do you mean, 3 cylinders suck

Nice car, man! Solid design with a touch of futuristic
I like this car.

Here in the states I have a 2017 Kia Rio 1.6 ltr with 138 hp. I love the 6 speed manual. It's the best part in the car.
The Kia Rio is a very nice car. We don't have the 1.6 ltr option in Europe. Do you have the 1.0 ltr three cylinder turbo in the states?
Very nice review I own a 2014 kia rio 1.4 cvvt I love it

How reliable is this 1.0 Turbo?
Can you compare it to seat Ibiza? How about going up steep hills?
It's a great car, however the Ibiza is more sporty and the interior finish of the Ibiza is a bit better. The Kia however is cheaper.
In my country the Ibiza is cheaper.. 4k euro ;)

Good car and perfect pov :-)
Thanks for your compliment! It's indeed a very good car, it's drives way better than it's predecessor
Road Fanatic better than a golf or just an alternative ?
The Rio is more an alternative for a VW Polo. I think the Rio is more value for money than a VW
👍👌
How is the fuel economy compared to the claimed figures?
It is, as always for the small turbo engines very dependable on the drivers experience. It can be anything from miserable to impressive. ;)
👏👏👏👏

I'm sorry, I really don't a a clue where it is
How is this the same engine as the Kia Stonic but has 20 hp less?
Can someone explain?
1.0 Kappa T-GDi engine comes with 2 power outputs: the first one, presented in this video, with 100 HP and the second one with 120 HP😉
In some countries you can get the higher power version (120 HP) of the 1.0 T-GDi engine, beside the standard 100 HP output
hum. i thought all kias 1.0 t-gdi 100hp versions would come with the 17' rims.
Coool

That cheap Denver-smartphone/tablet-screen from 2008 is the reason that I would never ever buy this car. The Hyundai i20 is MUCH better!
Anders Nielsen nothing wrong with that screen. You should be watching the road, not a huge tablet stuck on the dash
