Thanks for the Gaelic. Love it I am still learning after two hundred years missing out in our family. from what I can see the english forced their language on us.
Iain this is wonderful, thought I knew about Colum Cille but have learnt much. Loved that you visited Pluscarden Abbey a wonderful place of peace and Spirituality. The music is fantastic very Iain MacGillivray 🏴
@@SIRHOPES that must've been wonderful, i love when the place is quiet and with few or no people. Hope that saying about visiting Iona 3 times is true and I may come back someday. I've been reading Adoman's and it's wonderful to think about columba times
Columba jamp in the water and commanded the monster to let go of his companion - These old religious stories are hilarious, why do people take them seriously though
Oral history is never made from nothing. There are truths that the culture and time reveal. Even if it isn't true, it shows how Columba loved the people enough to rid them of their fears and how dear to them Columba was and still is.
@@patriciah3235 Who wrote the story of columba ? Was is not a priest called Adamnan writing some 80 years after the death of Columba, Caledonia was a pagan country so the views of a religious boy is hardly top of the pops. Do you believe in magic ?

St Columba was an Irish monk who built Iona monastery and was instrumental in evangelising Europe
