If you compared Kensington to the Bronx in the 70's and 80's, the Bronx was worse by far. Nowadays, the Bronx has vastly improved but it remains the poorest city in America for 40 years plus! The drugs will continue to remain a major issue because of the Bronx's location it is a major distribution hub for northeast by Cartel and other organizations. You don't see the the drug addicts walking around high like in Kensington as much but they are still around, just not concentrated in one vicinity. However, some parks and rooftops in the South Bronx are still flooded with used needles.
You guys leave your homes and lands in India and live as 2nd class citizens in the USA, what's the reason for that? There's no charm.

As an Armenian who grew up in the South Bronx I definitely can agree that it is a tough place to live in. I’m happy that I was able to move out. This was a really funny documentary especially seeing the fear on your faces. I agree with your point a lot of people do think America is a freedom country. In my opinion people get deceived coming here thinking life is going to be sweet when the reality is it is not especially as an immigrant. Every country has their bad side just like in India for example. You can’t just go to the hood and determine that the United States as a whole is the same as the hood you visited or saw on the internet. While reading the comments I noticed there were many comments of people saying or explaining how they fear for the safety of the Indian people living in the US. Which is understandable you guys are taking what you see on the video a brown man visiting the most dangerous part of New York and fearing for his life. Just like many Americans only seeing the bad side of other countries on social media and thinking that’s how it really is. As human beings I think it is very important to educate ourselves and stop assuming because doing so makes us all ignorant.
We're not assuming things miss. America uses dumb tactics to pressurise other countries for their geopolitical gains, they give out these weird travel warnings just to humiliate other countries, and people in the comments are making fun of it, by saying that they're concerned about minorities in America because America uses paid organisations to give out baseless surveys every year about India. And on the other hand, it's not hidden how Americans think anything outside America is below them, when they themselves can't go in such neighborhoods. At the end of the day, there are good and bad sides of all countries but our problem is that western media has the control and they show only the bad sides of other countries while ignoring their own. This just paints a black and white picture. And if you're an Armenian, I don't understand why you are so offended by them showing the other side of America. Please take things easy.

I am Latino and have had many Indian friends during my life since a child. We grew up in suburbs in NA. It's comforting to see a TH-camr that reminds me of my friends, when we used to hangout in the dodgy parts of the city. I do miss them a lot and I hope I can hangout with them one day, again.

I have walked through 153rd Street in the night. Around 8 pm. All alone. No Vitaly kind of guy with me. Just made sure I didn't look like a scared tourist. Parts of San Francisco are more dangerous. Still nothing compared to some violent streets of Mexico. To all the idiots commenting about how unsafe it is in the US, try walking around New Delhi Railway Station at night or let your wife/girlfriend walk alone in the night anywhere in India. I've seen documentaries of western entertainment channels, travel channels since childhood where they always portray India being poor, filthy & dangerous and always portray western countries as vibrant and dreamy. These vlogs now show the western reality 💯
Being poor and crime rate are two different things in India. But in US crime rate is more in poor neighborhoods. Governments have neglected them for decades.

It is a shit hole my friend. Usually people in these communities has led a life without a father figure & mothers go out to survive n do whatever to get by. So lack of family clout leads to lack of empathy. Stay far away & let them rot in their own deeds
No, it’s more complex than that. The C I A pushed drugs into these communities in the 70s/80s, thus wrecking these communities which were already poor to begin with (due to institutionalized Segregation). These areas also have a ton of contaminants in the water piping systems (lead etc) which leads to developmental issues.

I lived and trained in this neighborhood in medicine for 3 years. Like everywhere else, they have their own problems. People in this neighborhood have been ignored by the US government for a long time leading to the homelessness, drug addiction and unemployment.

I did a bagpacking trip around US and covered mostly 14 states in 30 days span. I traveled mostly in public transport, stayed hoods and traveled in Metros in midnighs. I have seen angry sports fan mob, homeless people, drug addicts, freaks, biker gangs, street gangs etc., But there are lot of good people also. very much terrified and it is God's grace that I came back safely 🤪. The thing is U should not be in r wrong place in the wrong time that's it.

I lived in Harlem for 2 months with my African American friend at his house. His mom wouldn't let us leave after 6:30.
