What I appreciated the most about this video was this guys obvious love and passion for his animals. He clearly loves them all. Great video Dav !

I don't know if I can say they are THE coolest in the world. But definitely up there.

I have a melanosterna. He was a Ty Park baby. I opened Craigslist one day and noticed he was for sell from the person who purchased him from Ty. I did not know anything about melanosternas at the time, but knew he did not belong on craigslist. He was 9 months old and the previous owner had not handled him, bc he was scared of this guy, (not to mention that he got out of his enclosure for three months, while the owner could not find him). When we got him we named him Henry. Henry is great! Puppy dog tame, potty trained, comes when called and is our best lizard out of 11, this includes a tegu and a green iguana. I think even if you get them at an older age they can tame down well if the time is spent with them. I also, agree they recognize their keepers. Henry will also stand on his back legs to beg for hornworms and has a mad love for hot wings. (He stoled his first bite and now he will do anything for a nibble, yes, he gets a bite every now and then, otherwise he pouts. Yes, i know Henry should not eat hot wings). He has the most charecter of all or lizards. His favorite green is arugula.
*A question I have is when are they full grown? Ours is 3 and he is quite big, but wondering when they reach full size. I am guessing but I think he is around 3 foot long snout to tip of tail, and close to 5 pounds. Best pet lizard ever! Next, best is our Tegu; I just love how the tegu cuddles and his eyes show such caring.

Hey Dav i really enjoy watching videos of your tour of breeders' facilities cos i not only get a chance to learn from breeders about these beautiful animals, i also get to see the enclosures that these animals are kept in. Very inspiring especially for people who are into reptiles to get ideas on how they can better do up their own animal enclosures. Was thinking since you've visited so many facilities, i thought it would be even better if you can have your own reptile breeding facility and make videos on them like how some other TH-cam channels are doing.

Ctenosaurs are truly amazing animals. The wife and I are planning on moving to Arizona and these are on the list when it comes time for collection expansion. Also I can't wait to get the ackies outdoors, it's going to really do them some good. We'd love to get more monitors, ctenosaurs, and maybe even a single rhino iguana as a pet - but the plan is to breed most. Lace monitors are on the bucket list, for obvious reasons lol, but it's a dream to successfully captively breed peach throats.

Well, my leopard gecko is, of course, the greatest reptile in the world, but the spinytails are indeed awesome. It looks like you have to be committed, experienced and have either a great backyard or a willingness to do home improvement projects in order to do well by spinytails, however. Otherwise you’re better off with more of a beginner animal - like the world’s greatest leopard gecko! Thanks for the video, Dav! Season’s Greetings!

I have had horses my whole life, well 61 years of my 65, and my family and people around me before me and you never, ever stop learning. The horses more so because they rely on you for feeding and everything, I mean I have a lot of knowledge of a lot of different animals but horses were my total focus for so long. I think the moment you think you know it all is the moment you start losing touch with your animals. I never thought about reptiles until recently as I'm very fond of birds, especially crows and pigeons and then I was thinking about birds being reptiles (I always had my suspicions due to scaley legs and feathers being modified scales, and I started watching Clint, and Chandler and yourself as there has got to be crossover between birds and regular reptiles. I would love a big crocodile or water monitor but, knowing my limitations I think I may go for a small Ackie or a Geko or iguana because I have really caught the bug big time! I love the idea of growing their own food and am enjoying your videos a heap!
