I wish they brought back the brother in the later season like when Bonnie got married. He was only in the entire show for 5 episodes or less. They could of used him more.
So she was a good parent when the first relationship failed and she abandoned her first child. Then she only became a horrible parent when her 2nd relationship failed. Okay😂
In other words the mother was only a "good parent" when someone else was picking up the load. Likely the reason she abandoned her first child. She probably kept her second child out of guilt for the 1st abandonment
I think before the point of not wanting the money anymore she was under the impression her mom left her to raise another kid that she stayed with makin her more angry and resentful.
Wow although this is a story line. @jonathanharris1326 Because being abandoned you could get over with work and therapy but being black is always gonna be a hurdle to get through that you'll never overcome unless racism is completely destroyed! 😉😁💯🔥👍🏻
It would blow people minds if they knew the truth. There's a lot of white folks that's blood relatives to black folks in America. Slave Master started the interracial family. It's just not spoken about
The way I rolled my eyes with these black jokes. I have black friends is always said by some weird acting white person in real life, laugh track working overtime
I didn't care for the show having Ray lose everything (husband and career) in later episodes due to his cocaine addiction. I also wanted to see him in the series finale.
That's life isn't it, not everything has to be all sunshine and rainbows especially when addiction is involved. Christy's beloved sponsee OD'ed, her own daughter cut her out of her life as a sober adult. Her son doesn't want to live with her and apparently is on a track to addiction himself. That's what the show is all about; people fall down from grace all the time but if you keep on living, you can still have it all back one step at a time even if it's not guaranteed. It all depends on you, and unfortunately Ray is not even willing to part from his addiction even with everything he has lost.
Ray is only a character. There is nothing wrong with the character straight, gay, or bi. He is a successful lawyer. What I hate is when every non white character is some stereotype.
This is what white Hollywood does. They portray themselves as woke and seeking diversity, yet the trend is going toward an image of strong, black masculine men being betrayed as gay. I’m sure I’m going to get hate on this comment. And I consider myself woke. But as a heterosexual black man, I have started noticing when there has to be a gay character recently, more likely than not, a disproportionate percentage seems to be black.
christy telling him about the money was really honarable..i hated when the actress left i stop watching the show.. her journey was so interesting. most or alot of people that go to church would not have told him about the money
It’s definitely possible. It depends on which genes are dominant. My grandfather is biracial (Black/White) but he is dark skinned and his features are also typical of the average Black person. I have relatives who also look White even though they are biracial. It really just depends sometimes.
i know a guy who was mixed. fair toned Columbian mother and dark skinned father. he looked like a copy of his father. same with his older sister. the only one who "looked mixed" was the younger sister.
Sometimes I wonder because African Americans are so many different colors. We have to white ancestry from slavery. Because the pure Africans have darker skin
as a brown guy, I was like "really? why?" Unless he wasn't and said it to just win the game. The Uncle could have said "Married with kids" or "She is the reason I don't want a family"
Hollywood has a pattern of making black men gay. I have no problem with gay characters. But I have definitely noticed that a lot of recent black male characters are being portrayed as gay. Kay Williams touched on this during his Shannon Sharpe interview.
@@antoinehicks2681 Halle is not dark or anywhere near this man's skin-tone. we know all of things are still possible but it aligns with how Hollywood underrepresents lighter-skinned Black men while WILDLY overrepresenting the opposite in women. Find a biracial BM actor or a light one.
