EMPTY SPAIN 🇪🇸 Stories in FORGOTTEN 🇪🇸

Walking through the countryside we found three towns practically in ruins, buried by their rubble. Memories of better times; smoke in the chimneys, the smell of freshly baked bread, children playing in the square, stories told between laughter. Friends, brothers who little by little are moving away, leaving for the big cities in search of favorable conditions and the people are left behind, resisting time, begging not to fall into oblivion.
*Valdealmendras is a district belonging to the municipality of Sigüenza, in the province of Guadalajara, Spain. It has a legal population of 2 inhabitants according to the 2011 INE census. Remains from the Roman period have been found in this town.
