Live2D was in it's infancy) and received two model updates, one at the end of 2019, and a redesign at the end of 2020. All of them are still 3D though. However I'll give you that her newest model is so good it almost looks 2D.

As much as i hate to admit it, i kind of agree with you on that one. It's a bit hard to excuse a 4th wall break on an entertainment form that is so so strict when it comes to privacy with just clumsiness. In most cases i believe it is at least to some degree staged, not scripted, but staged as in an improv bit, like they know they will still be broadcasting for a bit after the effective stream duration, so they know to act more loosely but still holding back anything personal.
