Rural world is way too hard for me as a beginner, but that doesn't mean I want it to go away. As long as I'm learning something each video, then it doesn't matter.
Same! I like to think it this way - this channel is about making progress. If I used to get an average of 5-10k on ARW and in the next 10 days with this channel, I'll learn some stuff and improve and then I'll get an average of 7-12k, and in a month, maybe up to 10-15k ... absolutely fine by me!

I like this format, 1 game on ADW/ACW that are more accessible and 1 game on a harder or more niche map like rural world or regionguessing for those trying to improve. Great series so far!
hey zig! i wanted to say thanks for this series, i was a pretty casual player until i found your channel last month but after watching you daily for weeks i really felt motivated to learn a bunch of annoying meta (bollars are a work in progress L) and improve, and this series has been both super useful and really entertaining!! thanks for the hard work every day, keep it up! :D
i think the harder maps are good but it shouldn't be so hard that the major factor for your guesses are the "vibes", so perhaps one map where it is quite difficult and one map where there are metas which you can explain to everyone
ARW is damn hard, I feel devastated after getting only 10k, but that's the only way to learn something new. Doing above 20k on Diverse World is satisfying, but for me it doesn't have much educational value except for regionguessing. So imo harder maps are very welcomed in these episodes.
i got 15,000 on both seeds, the stage i'm in in the game is where i usually guess 3-4 countries right but not good at region guessing (or a bit more rarely completely spot on for some reason), and the other 1-2 guesses are usually the right continent but wrong country or completely off. so my average is 15,000-19,000. in the first seed i thought it was russia but then i switched to cambodia for some odd reason, it's just the dirt that threw me off a little lol, everything else i guessed the right country but wrong region so a lot of 3500-4200 points territory. the rural world i guessed every country right except indo, i went phillipines because i couldn't think of anything better and i actually had no idea about that indo island, that's why it felt extremely weird to me, it's good to know. but please do let me know what you think i should do to get better, maybe start trying to learn a country or something? i'm not sure. i know you can give me a good tip
I love ARW and I think choosing a harder map than ADW for the second round is also beneficial for less experienced players. First round ADW as usual and for the second round a harder map like ACW or ARW or Regionguessing by Steve or something like that makes a lost of sense imo.
Edit: I think I overreacted. Maybe there is some good to be had from the difficult maps. If anything, I get to hear *why* something is in the location it's in, and I will learn about places I had not considered before. It's frustrating but I do see the value in it. @@shiftlessdrifter692 okay maybe you‘re right. I must admit it‘s hard to think about what a beginner would really enjoy. I guess it‘s just more fun for advanced players to have ARW/ACW etc. for the second round. But it‘s hard finding a solution to this. What would your second map choice be?
@@googlemapsspeedruns777 I take back what I said. ADW type maps are good for the first round and harder maps are good for the second. It's good to get exposure to new places or out-of-the way areasto expand our thinking. For instance, learning about that Sumba region in Indonesia was actually quite interesting. I'm probably going to remember that now.

In the first place it is obviously just having fun but I think everybody watching this channel is either already very good and just supporting zig or is trying to learn and actually get much better at the game.

I think if you want to keep two maps/challenges per episode, having one easier general world map and one harder map is a good choice.

That Rural World was verrrry hard. Only the Taiwan one I managed to guess the country correctly.

Rural world is pretty rough for me, but I do like seeing the variety of landscapes and being able to better guess based on vibes is always a positive.
