This channel is really so underrated! I really like that you don't make some clickbait videos with quick tricks to gain views, but rather in-depth videos about mixing and audio engineering. I know you're not trying to blow up on TH-cam, but still I think this channel deserves much more followers and recognition. Thank you for the video, I would just appreciate some more comments from you on what you're doing while you put in the plugins. Like what the intention is or what are you fixing or enhancing with this and that or maybe even stuff that you hear in the mix and is obvious to you, but we maybe don't hear that. Also, do you use some kind of sidechain on the kick and bass or do you just leave them to fight for their own space? Thank you for what you're doing and also thanks in advance for the answer.
Hi! First off, thank you so very much for taking the time to write such a great comment. You are the exact reason I decided to step out of my comfort zone and do this. Zero intention of trying to be a big TH-cam channel but just wanted to find a way to connect to people and talk all things audio engineering. I will absolutely incorporate your feedback about going even deeper into explaining and sharing insight. Regarding your question about side chains… sometimes I do, and sometimes I leave it be. It really depends on where the kick and bass are sitting in their frequency relations and also whether I think the kick simply is not punching through enough for what’s needed. I will be showing a way I deal with that globally when I post the video that shows my current mix template. Right now what I feel is important to share is how to formulate mix based decisions…. Not saying my choices are right… but rather showing how to follow your vision through completion mix wise. Happy New Year my friend and thank you so much for the support!!!
