Helllo, wake on lan it's working perfect but when I try to wake my computer out of home with my ddns or even my public ip and it does not work. I put a name, mac address, ddns/public ip, ipv4 of target computer (also tried broadcast) and port 9 and it works when I turn off my pc just for like 20 seconds and then it stops working (if I wake it locally it works).
wake on lan is basically like having a voice controled money lock box at home and saying the pin code out loud to open it (most likely no one will hear it). but when u do it outside everyone could hear it.
Dont know why, but when i installed win 11 my wake on lan stopped to work after i shut down my PC, but it works when hybernate. I have win 10 on the same pc and it great works when i shut down computer so WTF? How it could be and why win 11 not allowing me to WOL when i shut down PC? Help, any ideas?
@@Hammersch Port forwarding for wake on LAN is possible however we do not recommend it due to security concerns. The more preferred option is to use a L2TP VPN.

There are also a lot of consumer routers that do not have great firewalls and exposing ports can lead to security vulnerabilities. At the very least if someone was able to get your public IP address and device MAC address then they could power on your PC from anywhere. It is highly recommended to use a L2TP VPN or only allow whitelisted clients through the forwarded port. Thanks.
Figured it out.. Updated the drivers for the lan port and Wala.. The x670e- f motherboards have a issue with the intel lan controller, But I did get it all figured out .. Wish there was a widget for this app.... Off wake on lan makes this one look bad, too bad they only work for apple...

When computer and phone connected same Wi-Fi network connection, it work, turn on computer.But When use phone sim data connection, it cannot on computer. What’s problem..!?

But if you want to wake your PC from work. You have to in your router the IP ADDRESS and the port = 9 released for the whole world ⚰️

Hi, Wolow Companion is a system tray application it has no user interface so if there is an icon in the system tray then it is open.
