Huh... not my thing. I got completely the wrong idea of this game from the eshop and game description. It's got a very interesting design. Kind of reminds me of the abstract horror element from the TMS#FE dungeons.
Having completed my first playthrough of this game on PC and on my way to beat NG+ and NG++… I find it odd that a lot of reviewers don’t mention that the story should be treated like a Yoko Taro game and how the first playthrough is only just a portion of the overall story
Thank you for reviewing this. I was curious about this game and I think I'll probably get it now. It is interesting to me that the main character's dog is named Thelema, which for those who don't know is a mystical religion founded by Aleister Crowley. There seem to be quite a few modern JRPGs that make casual references to the occult and I find that amusing.
I don't think this is for me. It's just not something I can see myself getting into, but it looks neat for those who are looking for a 'new' JRPG to play on the go, and it's always good to know that a Switch port performs well. Despite not planning to pick this up, I also appreciate the review.
I do have one question. Maybe it was addressed and I just kinda zoned out, but I'm not sure. Is there a difficulty selection? I'm kinda intrigued by this game, but the difficulty sounds a little too easy for what I'm looking for. If it has a harder difficulty available from the start, I think I'd like to check this game out. If anybody reading this knows, let me know, please.
@@IDreamofIndie Excellent. Thank you for your swift reply. Again, sorry if you had already said that in the video and I just miseed it multiple times somehow.

The spiritual sequel "Crymachina" came out two months ago; just fyi for those who don't know.

Yes you can!
I just wanna play this game for the soundtrack
I believe it's on streaming services like Spotify!
can you turn off the voices in combat tho XD IF YOU MUST
Actually yes! The game has a voice volume slider in the config.
I'm a sucker for arpg i might get it on sale, nice review though are you hype for sunbreak by chance?
Pet the dog, cry a lot, look at great illustrations. What more could we need?
Can you play with JP audio? EN dubs feel too disjointed for me.
You can! In the config menu you are able to toggle Japanese or English.
