Nice job finding an actual use for the 890 aside from being a big dick waiving display of wealth. They're chuckin S10s at you because they know there's a wipe. Also, they are free until longer ship reclaim timers are in. Anyone with a Polaris and either a Perseus, Nautilus, Privateer or Javelin has at least two Polaris so reclaim timers are not a deterrent for them.
4.0 Live is going to be a wild place until reality sets in and you cannot just risk hundreds of thousands in Size 10 torps that just will not hit the target. As a Polaris owner myself I do enjoy the 890 Jump more for exploration work especially when solo - but of course Polaris will always have its needed roles where the repair, rearm, refuel bill will be worth the price of breaking it out.

this is really sad to see the carrack so weak, I've always thought the carrack should have been equal or slightly better than the 890 in terms of armor. it seems like it would be the perfect mid size ship to explore pyro in
tried firing polaris torps and they were getting blown up before getting 10 feet away. Adding what they said about capital combat having to take down the sheild then target the turrets and pdcs before torping the bmm is going to be fine
4 SHOULD be enough especially if pilot of BMM avoids flying in a straight line and letting Polaris get in behind them assuming the 4 PDS are spread out across the ship. When we get an updated BMM exterior image I'll take a look at PDS placement - I am especially curious how the motion parts will impact the defense array.
@@TheXasTube yeah, I kind of agree. currently PDC cant be sub targeted. but with IAE I like to gather some insights before purchase. also I think the rearm repair refuel service will really impact the gameplay.

I agree a Carrack should not stand against a Polaris. But a Carrack is not a threat to a Polaris and just can get 1 shot off the field by Polaris. Pair of PDCs would not be impossible to defeat but at least would avoid Carrack being 1 shot by a random flyby Polaris, after all CIG leads just spent a half hour detailing Time To Disable should be long enough to slow game down and feel better etc. but Polaris and hard kill, no disable, a Carrack in 5 seconds.

I got the 400i since it came out: Nothing has changed in lighting or texture: just some fire extinguisher thrown in the wrong places. The front bike hangar is still broke, without a proper grid to hold anything and still barely able to hold a X1 which was intended from the begin. The rear turret is a design flaw that kills the vehicle access. Bug fixing is transitional and those bugs will come back inevitably: doors, glass walls, paint, seats... Nothing has really been fixed. What cig did is to take out the ship redundancies, now that S3 shields are half the HP it used too, making the ship slower and less maneuverable and much more vulnerable in exchange for nothing.
