I wonder if a Truth Commission, similar to that of the apartheid crimes of South Africa, can also be set up for lower ranking operatives of DDS and war against drugs of Duterte. This will encourage them to speak up and given protection and a possibility of not being prosecuted especially if they were forced to carry out criminal orders / instructions from higher authorities. Just listening to the interview, nakakasakit ng puso. Mr. Lascanas sounds very credible - movement of his eyes is very smooth, no unusual rise or fall in his vocal tone, no fidgeting.

LOL Kidding aside, true stories seem so improbable as to stretch one's credulity as illustrated by Mr. Lascanas' retelling of Duterte's m0nstr0sity. To me, though, Lascanas seems credible esp. since his testimony is consistent and highly detailed, plus truth is his only armour now considering that his life is in constant danger. Hi Christian, thank you so much. Just discovered this interview that you have conducted with Arturo Lascanas. It’s highly disturbing and hard to process. I wonder if a Truth Commission, similar to that of the apartheid crimes of South Africa, can also be set up for lower ranking operatives of DDS and war against drugs of Duterte. This will encourage them to speak up and given protection and a possibility of not being prosecuted especially if they were forced to carry out criminal orders / instructions from higher authorities. Just a thought and cannot thank enough your programme and Mr. Lascanas for this courageous interview.

To me, though, Lascanas seems credible esp. since his testimony is consistent and highly detailed, plus truth is his only armour now considering that his life is in constant danger. I truly can't wait for the time exPRRD and his cohorts will receive their due comeuppance. Their egregious actions caused harm and suffering to many. However, holding the 'strongman' Duterte accountable is of special significance since it will send a powerful message that no one, regardless of their position, is above the law.
