Its different for the field of work that Darien Long is in. These kids and young adults are low income, and the results of single parent households. Raised by single mothers. The majority of them, never had a father in their households, to be the blueprint for what a man Is supposed to be. So when they come across an authoritative man, like Darien long; it's unfamiliar territory for these kids, and young adults. They tend also, to not take the cops seriously; due to the fact that most of these kids (and adults with childish mentalities) have spent the majority of their formative years, gaming the legal system. Darien Long can not be as forceful, as he would prefer to be. Because it would open him up the litigation, from the exact people who forced the issue. As much as we viewers, would like to see it, for its dramatic and comedic content; we are not on the front lines with Darien, to deal with the legal consequences of his actions. And when street thugs, understand that there's a line that law enforcement (and its representatives) can not cross; it leaves the street hustlers to get emboldened.

And listening to Long speak; he made sure that he was well versed in the laws, statutes of GA, before he made any moves. That's why I keep surveillance cameras, with crisp audio, at both of my residences.
