The walk-in-freezer actually opens outward if standing inside, the doors never shut all the way unless someone closes them, that thing he pulled off is not a door handle, it’s an emergency opener if someone were to close the door and lock you in… you’re supposed to push it in so it can open the door from the outside.
I actually got stuck in the walk in freezer after someone shut it while I was still inside, but I couldn’t open the door because it was frozen… I had to bang on the door and wait for someone to let me out.. Please check the inside before shutting the door to make sure you aren’t trapping anyone in there, and if you do get trapped, PUSH AS HARD AS YOU CAN, or yell and bang on the door
