Awesome video, brother! This is your best yet- you truly let the forest and the BSF speak for itself, I felt relaxed and rejuvenated as I watched spring come to life in one of my favorite places! Can’t wait to go back there soon! Thanks for sharing!
What a GRAND tour....thank you so much! The flowers are spectacular....most are in the orchid category, aren't they? And I'm just like you..."Let me TOUCH that moss"....THANK YOU!
I love how you shot and edited this one. It's a nice change of pace while still keeping to your style. Man, the Kentucky side of BSF looks just as spectacular as the Tennessee side! I have to get down there! That opening shot is excellent. I like all the shots of the mining equipment too. Those places fascinate me. And that's the most carpet-looking moss I've ever seen, haha. It would make for some great cowboy camping. Thanks for sharing, and also thanks for another look at those early spring ephemeral wildflowers. I can never get enough of them.
Old camera 🤣! Got one more video left from the phone. I've recorded a small video with my new camera, but not sure I'll do it. Still getting acquainted with it. Thanks for watching!
OMG Nick! We were at Blue Heron last year researching my husband’s family that had worked there but didn’t get to check out any trails and we love hiking. Any intel on what these hikes were would be appreciated. We’re good for about 10 miles a day, so would like to check this out. We do have a book we bought while visiting but haven’t mapped anything out.
This was the Blue Heron Loop (6.5m) started at the top of the coal tipple. Just across the river via the tipple bridge is the Sheltowee Trace. I'm still exploring the BSF myself, but I've found tons of trails on REI'S Hiking Project App. Just a few minutes north is Lick Creek Falls and Princess Falls. And just a Abita further is Yahoo Falls and Arch. Plenty of hiking!
something so special about a solo hike. you captured it perfectly in this award worthy film.❤
Thanks cuz! Such a wonderful comment ❤️

Thank you so much! I believe your are correct about the flowers. I was just a tad too early for the Trilliums. Love that moss! 🤣
