LaserOS does not allow you to change the scan speed, it's fixed. If both lasers are running at the same speed, why is one flickering more than the other? Is LaserOS detecting the Ultra and increasing the scan speed?

LaserOS does not allow to change scan speed, but it allows you to change quality of the projection. You can use the quality render slider to make it look more rounded, but less flickering, or make it more sharp with more noticeable flickering. In these examples we set render quality slider in the same level on both cubes, but at this point, Pro started to flicker, and Ultra did not. Both cubes were connected to two different devices, in case if LaserOS could have impact on signal due to two different devices (it shouldn’t happen, but we wanted to play it safe).

It's surprising to see the AT-35S galvos (rated 35KPPS@6°) be much slower than the AT-40S (rated 35KPPS@7°), despite also scanning at a lower angle.
This likely means the Pro isn't coming close to it's rated speed. Maybe it's tuning is off, or it's overheating, or maybe LaserOS is not sending the same signal to both projectors.
I don't know, but the 2.5W Pro looks bad in this comparison.

This makes the other look really bad. Like the 2w makes the 1w look bad I think I might just go for the 1w because the original 1w videos didn't flicker.......until the 2w Pro came out... strange seems like apple 🍎 tactics to lower specs in lower models to sell the higher priced ones. I've been after one for a while now but can't justify the price or find used ones.

I want to see the 7.5w projecting on a mountain at 1-5km range

@@wickedlasersvids will do once the price becomes more affordable, can understand 2k euro but 3k for 7.5 watt is way too much for me. The massive price difference from 2.5w to 7.5w doesn’t really make sense as the actual diodes don’t have that price bump.
