I am retired and bought a house 12 years ago just north and west of the UT campus. I am close to an upscale super market and hospitals. I made the right choice and will enjoy Austin for the rest of my life.

You bought 2 houses?? If so, your the reason lack of housing is a thing and homelessness is high.

@@howellwong11 you said north AND west which can be deceiving since most say northwest if they mean 1 thing.

@@yoabagaile True, but ONE house should have clarified the north and west to be northwest.

Austin is way more chill and down to earth than Houston or Dallas... especially for the mansion parties we throw.. dunno if other places are chill enough to pull it off

In the mid 1980s, I lived in a high-rise condo in downtown Austin just two blocks west of the capitol. I'd hate to think how much a place like that would set me back now! Not to mention the sky-high property taxes in Texas.
    (I now live in Mexico)

Lol sometimes I think you’re purposely negging Austin because you know that you’re going to have more than enough inbound interest, so Austin can be really picky. But the honesty and fairness of this channel really kicks ass. You’ll be selling 20-square-foot properties in Waco for $500k a year from now.

😂 I just get sick of it here sometimes. And so I then try to channel that same energy into a video that can be helpful and honest and entertaining. Glad to hear it kicks ass!

The people at Austin stone church did not like me? I did volunteer work for them, accounting work for free and senior pastor said he did not want me in the office? Not friendly to me!

Austin is very hot in the summer, traffic is bad, very crowded, lots of homeless, too many flaky people, salaries can't keep up with cost of living, water costs are high, prop. taxes are high, and median age is 32, if you are 40 plus, you won't fit in easily. Be aware of that, it is fun to go there for music and hang out, but don't live there.

Do you guys do any business in San Marcos? I am planning to relocate there from Houston and would occasionally commute to Austin.

As a Texas Ex and Austinite, all the outsiders and corporate wash out has RUINED what made Austin so awesome years ago. It is not the same. Outsiders ruined it. Its also the worst traffic, extremely expensive including insurance as well. Its not like you think.

Your first point it's very wrong. I grew up with Mexican values and very respectful and conservative. I've found that Latinos moving to Texas are mich more respectful even more so than southerners. Your video, unfortunately, it's full of assumptions and not based on facts, including on the politics. Many are moving there because they are more conservative in their political values.

As a Mexican American from Chicago, I would like a more "conservative" outlook but not full blown GOP enviornment
