Biolos actually understands composite engineering, not many big name shapers do. I think his theory about the +-45 axis carbon transmitting force from foot to rail is spot on.
Awesome video Dave! Definitely lmk when you get those smaller Evil Twins he mentioned, you know I love those!! Also gonna get me a Tripper real soon . Much mahalos 🤙🏼
Yes it does attract a lot of heat but if you just don’t leave it in direct sunlight after surf most of times it’s OK If you watch the interview that I have with Matt Biolos they took the boards to BSR and they didn’t have any problems and it’s really hot out there and that was in the middle of summer. But yes definitely if you don’t take precautions It’ll melt your wax and if you leave it out direct sunlight too long do you’ll have some issues for sure
The deck is way more durable for sure. we have a guy that's a former pro surfer that has this and he's been throwing some air and the deck according to him has been holding up.

Oh right on!! good to know Thanks for that - David
So interesting to get the technical theories behind board designs and materials from the creator. Awesome job!
Mahalos! Stoked to hear that!
I still have black dart have owned it for about five years still not a scratch on it they are extremely incredible 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome 🤙🤙 Where are you surfing?

Never could understand the dark deck idea with the heat attraction .........

I’ve seen the dark arts pyzels around and they usually have pressure dings across the top after a handful of rides. Do the black sheep hold up better?
These hold up really good for sure., we've been getting some really good feedback. - DAvid
Good on him for acknowledging that the cloth bias thing is "theory". And until anyone proves a theory in a lab, then it remains just an unproven idea!
mmm. you Piqued my interest, what lab does this type of testing? - David
Any idea how the durability compares to light speed?

They are extremely great just do not leave them in the major heat
