Rocks Cousteau 2023 2024
I'm so glad Little Kitty is better. It sucks when one of our pets are sick.
Those dog tags are awesome finds! Respect to him and your grandfather. He was definitely a war hero. I loved hearing his story and seeing his medals. 💖💯
Yea it sucks big time. I am relieved. She is so much better today. She is up eating and moving all around today.
Awesome story about your Grandfather, much respect and gratitude to him,Thanks
glad to see Shes feeling better.
Cool fines enjoy video rocks
Wow Rock, your grandpa was an American badass. Much respect.
Yea. He went though some bad things man. That war camp had to be hell. So did the battle of the bulge. He was very lucky he was not executed by the SS.
So glad Your Cat is doing better. Yes, Your Grandfather is a hero, thank you for sharing his story and showing us his medals. Much love.
Thanks for the kind words..I was pretty worried. She looked real rough. But she really got better quick. I called her a little bit ago to get a dinner....and she came running out and looks good. She is back to normal now. Thanks for asking
That's a wonderful family history story, thank you for sharing it. Your grandparents looked like wonderful people. And, I'm happy your sweet old girl is feeling better too. Bless her!
I have really enjoyed your videos. As a Veteran I salute your Grandfather, let me assure you he was the definition of a hero.
A nice bit of history there
Hope You are doing good man. Good job over there. Tell Jane I said hello. You need to get her out on the dig site.
Bastogne was a tough battle. Lost a lot of guys there. What cool history you've discovered. Thank you Sargeant Grimes.
Yea my grandfather.....went though hell. I dont think he was ever the same man after all that. He was deeply religious
He sang LOUDLy in church. I never knew why at the time. He was thankful to be alive.
He was rejoicing to the lord.
Rocks I spent 6 years in the 4th infantry, a lot of younger family members gave good luck tokens that soldiers would wear with their dog tags.
Id say that is what it is then. I will try and clean that up today that token. It looks like there may be writing
Those dog tags you found are super cool! Thanks for sharing your Grandfather's medals, photos, and for and telling his story! I wish he were here so I could thank him for his service. I have much respect for all Veterans. I am glad the kitty is feeling better!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing your Grandfathers story, Rocks.
Hi Rocks. I'm so glad your friend is doing way better now. Bless her little heart. Those dog tags are a super cool find. Had you dug a little deeper, you might have come across some war memorbila stuff. Cannot understand why that was thrown out. Unless the guy's kids had no use for it. That happens a lot lately. Wish I still had all my uncle's WW2 medals today. Especially his purple heart. But moving around so much, they became lost forever. Thanks Rocks! 👍👍👍👍🙋♂️
Looks like a Mae West pose! You had a super Grand Dad bud!! They could make a movie on him! Something very cool and why you found them dog tags! I'm sure he likes how you are honoring people from the past.Lots of heros out there you otherwise would never know .Glad kitty responded so quickly ..
YEA.....I guess you are right on that. I did not think about that at all. THANKS.....that did not register upstairs till you said that
I have my father’s dog tag from his years in the Navy.
That is awesome
I had an uncle's name was Thomas Grimes
If you are from the Uniontown area....I am related to all the Grimes family over there.
If only those dog tags could talk .
This is awesome! I just found a WW1 dog tag to put in my military case. Btw I just dropped some stuff off there, just really appreciate everything you do.
Yea....I couldnt believe this. I thought that token was all that it was......And how close the name was to my grandads was ODD. For a minute I thought it said Robert L Grimes. instead of Robert L Hines
Hi Rocks. If you want to you can go to the Court House Veterans affairs office and ask if they can track down the family.
I posted the obituary......The guy just passed away last year.....You can just search it. He has relatives. I will try and track them down this year. i would think they would want these for the family.....I think I probably found these for a reason.
Army gave you; dog tags and a serial number if it started with us it meant you were drafted if ra you in listed. I was in Vietnam in 1968-69 and my serial no. started with US.
That’s great you have your grandfather’s medals. He certainly was a hero. Yes the German dog tags were made to be broken off if the person passed they would keep one on the body the other part gets turned in for records purposes. I had to take a guess the dog tags that you found were probably from the Vietnam era. World War II and Korean War era dog tags had a little notch inside. Just like what your grandfather’s dog tags have on them. And usually that little token was like a good luck charm. Are you gonna dig that site more?
Congratulations on your grandfather, surviving the War and the concentration camps, I salute him for his service. Little Kitty is looking much better!❤
Yea. if he would not have. My mom would not have been born. Neither would I
Looks like Robert L. Hines, had type O blood ! Now thats a real cool find !! :~) PS. What did the Vet say about your Cat ?? Did she have a respiratory infection ? Hope he gave her some meds to make her better !!
Yea....I could not believe it on the Dog Tags. That was crazy....The cat had an ear and upper Resp. Infection. But she is about back to normal already and doing well. The antibiotics really helped her. She will be ok...ThankYou for asking about her. I have been stressed
@@rockscousteau I get stressed when my fur babies get sick too !!
