It ended up having no compression due to the oil rings being worn out after 206,000 miles. Dry compression test was 40-45 psi and wet was 150+ on all cylinders😭 new motor will be in in abt 2 weeks
Also wanna say, don't quote me on this but, it's most likely dumping too much fuel because it hasn’t been adjusted for the larger cams, intake, and throttle body. The ECU doesn’t know about the increased airflow, so it’s running rich, fouling plugs, and struggling to run. Injector scaling, MAF calibration, and ignition timing in the tune are probably off too, so getting a custom tune should fix it.
@@cammedvette so Lito wrote me a tune for all the new mods I’ve had. It started on his tune but not on the stock tune. which makes sense, but I feel like something is definitely messed up with the afr. It evened itself out eventually and idled correctly but it was still way too rich. I’m just gonna hope it’s an easy fix tmrw and not compression or timing related
@@bonestock3v That makes sense, and it’s good to know it started on Lito’s tune. Hopefully, it’s just a minor adjustment and not something way out of proportion.
@bonestock3v hell yeah. When I rebuild my 3v into a 302 I plan to paint the block Ford blue and polish the valve covers to match the Holley manifold. Really look old-school.
No throttle response and funny idle might be down to air still being in the fuel system. I had similar recently, just needed to loosen a fuel pump pipe to let the air out when running
in california, cams are not smog legal. If you have aftermarket cams you have to take the motor apart, put the stock cams in, smog it, then take the motor back apart and put the aftermarket cams back in. Every 2 years
I've seen a few videos where people run comp cams 127200 and they pass smog. Am I going to do that? Hell no. I'll just swap cams for smog and swap back.@@bonestock3v

Im looking to run that holley manifold. Its a beauty
@@TerrinLee yea I love it. I really need to paint the underside of my hood and redo the wiring tape because that’s taking away from a lot of it
