We know his teammates don’t pass a lot, but they also pass a lot to him with around 7 seconds left on the shot clock, which I’ve seen often force him into a bad shot, resulting in low FG%

It’s arguable about the 3pt, his percentage sucks, but he still is an absolute beast. You can almost guarantee right now he’s gonna be top 10 all time by the end of his career.
And his dunks are powerful
He has already flirted near quadruple-double territory in 24 minutes.
He's already got multiple back to back blocks and he's learning how to either slap it on the glass for a recovery or just straight up snatch it, turning a block into a turnover of possession. The man is special.

These are all top 15 players in the league currently numbers as rookies.
Wembenyama is at 19ppg. 10reb 3blk in 29mpg and I think there’s a chance he improves as much from his rookie year to his 5th year and beyond as these players did.
So what we are seeing this year is 19/20 year old just scratching the surface of what he will be in his prime.
He’s not necessarily much more raw in his potential than these other players I mentioned were he’s just so naturally gifted that even the completely unpolished inexperienced version of himself can have dominant games.
michael carter williams was also a great rookie. there’s no surefire way to predict his career besides letting it play out.

Why do y'all think bulking up is gonna do anything haven't we learned from Lebron? 2002 to 2009 was the best version of him because he could shoot drive and did everything constantly to the point of being a way different player from 2011 and onwards when he did bulk up to most drive inside he just needed to keep doing this more and constantly making threes making midranges the more you have in your arsenal the more of a problem your gonna for any defender, especially for how tall he is

Imagine If he had a decent to good natural point guard (not sochan) and imagine if he plays 39 minutes a game like rookie Duncan did…. 26-30ppg sounds reasonable with a few more easy lobs and 10 minutes of play. Of course nobody plays high minutes like that anymore but give him consistent 34-35 minutes and he will surpass a lot of current stars

If he can improve his 3 point shooting he can easily be a top player in the league. It’s pretty incredible to see what he’s doing already
he was a 83% ft shooter in france and his form look pretty good I think he'll be fine, even just being a 34/36% 3pt shooter on the volume he already take (5 3s per games) would make him a threat, last 9 games he shooting 40% on 5 attempts per games
I dont even think he needs to improve his 3pt because of his height, just more minutes and basic work
