That was the MOST awesome thing to do back in the late 80´s and 90´s....listen to Cherry Moon Trax - House Of House about 1:23 in the track and imagine 15.000 people chanting "WUIIIIIII....WUIIIIII" at the same time.... GOOSEBUMPS MASSIVE !

Very awesome.... and like a lot of people commenting I am from an older generation who loved this type of techno when we were a similar age to the crowd here!
Having watched several of Charlotte's sets at big festivals by now, I can't help the feeling that there is a woman who is THE figurehead for the new generation of techno djanes, and an audience of the same age that is completely lost when trying to grasp the brilliance of her choice of tracks and the soundscapes she creates.
i just think she is ok. she plays similar techno sets unless she is NOT playing at festivals. IF and ONLY IF she is playing at resistance in ibiza or amnesia or at a dark club where she has a residence she will play more underground however if she plays at festivals you can expect to hear similar choices of cuts (vinyl) ... like luzenkreigen (sp), her records (closer), that bonzai records track that she likes to play and other records ... however she is still pretty dope! and really good. Howevver this set stands out as a gem, a lot of good underground records from the mid point of her set towards the end. I think this set stands out. This is a bit more thumpy and underground sounding right from the beginning so it is more unique i think. I just took a quick listen to a some of her live festival sets and they sound similar this is a bit more unique in my opinion.
I HAVE BEEN TO ibiza 7 times.. the standard of quality in ibiza is better than anywhere else IN THE WORLD.... BETTER THAN ITALY BETTER THAN BERLIN IN TERMS OF CLUB EXPERIENCE ... IN MY HOME TOWN OF TORONTO TOO MANY ITALIANS THINK THEY KNOW OR THEY HAVE A GOOD GRIP OF WHAT IS AN INTERPRETATION OF TECHNO MUSIC.... techno is for the proletariat and it is simple music. It can be linked to technology but it can be often made with the most simplest of tools. I JUST HATE BEING TOLD WHAT THE TRICKS ARE WHEN I KNOW THEM FROM THE HORSES MOUTH... AT THE BEST PARTIES IN THE WORLD.... AND NO AMELIE LENS IS NOT BETTER S HE HAS DIFFERENT STYLE... CHARLOTTE DE WITTE IS MORE WAY WAY MORE POPULAR IN EUROPE THAN AMELIE...... I don't know why you think Charlotte is more popular than Amelie? I live in Belgium (yes I was at this set) and Amelie pulls bigger crowds at Dour Festival. Her singles Drift, Paralyzed and Contradiction are all more popular than Charlotte's music. i speak from previous experience... last year... when i saw her last year she was indeed more popular. However now things have probably changed. Also my experiences abroad... have left me with a sense that c..w is more popular. I am not in any high horse.. i live in toronto.. a town that pretends to be multicultural. However it is a town based on racist values and unfortunately. It has been my experience that most people here in toronto , white people that go to shows think they know the score or the real essence of techno culture. I have studied the nature of the scene and I am not going to sit idle here taking it on the chin from people who are fcking assholes from toronto who think they can criticize you and figure you out based on a figment of a character they see on the screen or the idea of those who they believe to be a threat just because we are darker. That is a certain perspective that is often real and overlooked in my scene. The high horsed nature is not against you or your people in belgium .. but against some of the negative racist prejudice high handed values that I tend to see here first hand. The use of techno culture for the benefit and control of some. The main point I tried to make is that the toronto rave culture, which is sht. Tends to capture or reflect very broad nature and generalized strokes of the palette of what is ought to be the norm of culture of dance music here domestically. To be going to a show is NOT life. It is just going to go out and have fun. But to go and to show in ibiza or anywhere where the dance music scene is felt more strongly like italy or germany or ibiza ... then it becomes something more relevant to life. For once - I travel all the way here from toronto to go there and I pay a huge premium to be there..... and one more thing... the experiences felt first hand in europe.. seem more authentic , more real, more faster, more intense and more closer to a lifestyle of dance music approaching a real lifestyle of artistic values. Here in toronto or most places and towns in north america , the prevalent nature is to survive and work. This is not to criticize people in europe or toronto.. but the atmosphere nature and values that give birth to certain choices in artistic freedom in certain cities in europe cannot be matched by most cities here in north america. There is a dysfunction. For me to go out to a show in north america would mainly be to be entertain, not to join a lifestyle of freedom. thus my main criticism springs up... from this differences. A lot of people here in toronto go out with a different mentality... so it makes me angry to see a certain backlash that is culturally attached and usually prejudiced when it comes to people judging others. My aim was to show a certain level of connoisseur. Techno is simple. Go out an enjoy it.

Very awesome.... and like a lot of people commenting I am from an older generation who loved this type of techno when we were a similar age to the crowd here!
Having watched several of Charlotte's sets at big festivals by now, I can't help the feeling that there is a woman who is THE figurehead for the new generation of techno djanes, and an audience of the same age that is completely lost when trying to grasp the brilliance of her choice of tracks and the soundscapes she creates.
i just think she is ok. she plays similar techno sets unless she is NOT playing at festivals. IF and ONLY IF she is playing at resistance in ibiza or amnesia or at a dark club where she has a residence she will play more underground however if she plays at festivals you can expect to hear similar choices of cuts (vinyl) ... like luzenkreigen (sp), her records (closer), that bonzai records track that she likes to play and other records ... however she is still pretty dope! and really good. Howevver this set stands out as a gem, a lot of good underground records from the mid point of her set towards the end. I think this set stands out. This is a bit more thumpy and underground sounding right from the beginning so it is more unique i think. I just took a quick listen to a some of her live festival sets and they sound similar this is a bit more unique in my opinion.
Charlotte is amazing... She is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, but Amelie Lens is even more talented then her. Check her out.
I HAVE BEEN TO ibiza 7 times.. the standard of quality in ibiza is better than anywhere else IN THE WORLD.... BETTER THAN ITALY BETTER THAN BERLIN IN TERMS OF CLUB EXPERIENCE ... IN MY HOME TOWN OF TORONTO TOO MANY ITALIANS THINK THEY KNOW OR THEY HAVE A GOOD GRIP OF WHAT IS AN INTERPRETATION OF TECHNO MUSIC.... techno is for the proletariat and it is simple music. It can be linked to technology but it can be often made with the most simplest of tools. I JUST HATE BEING TOLD WHAT THE TRICKS ARE WHEN I KNOW THEM FROM THE HORSES MOUTH... AT THE BEST PARTIES IN THE WORLD.... AND NO AMELIE LENS IS NOT BETTER S HE HAS DIFFERENT STYLE... CHARLOTTE DE WITTE IS MORE WAY WAY MORE POPULAR IN EUROPE THAN AMELIE...... MAINLY BECAUSE SHE HAS MORE POPULAR PRODUCTIONS.... CLOSER FOR EXAMPLE WAS HUGELY POPULAR IN EUROPE...
I don't know why you think Charlotte is more popular than Amelie? I live in Belgium (yes I was at this set) and Amelie pulls bigger crowds at Dour Festival. Her singles Drift, Paralyzed and Contradiction are all more popular than Charlotte's music. I absolutely adore Charlotte de Witte but man, you should get off your high horse and just enjoy whatever you want man. That judgemental "I know real techno"-attitude makes you look like a real dumbass...
i speak from previous experience... last year... when i saw her last year she was indeed more popular. However now things have probably changed. Also my experiences abroad... have left me with a sense that c..w is more popular. I am not in any high horse.. i live in toronto.. a town that pretends to be multicultural. However it is a town based on racist values and unfortunately. It has been my experience that most people here in toronto , white people that go to shows think they know the score or the real essence of techno culture. I have studied the nature of the scene and I am not going to sit idle here taking it on the chin from people who are fcking assholes from toronto who think they can criticize you and figure you out based on a figment of a character they see on the screen or the idea of those who they believe to be a threat just because we are darker. That is a certain perspective that is often real and overlooked in my scene. The high horsed nature is not against you or your people in belgium .. but against some of the negative racist prejudice high handed values that I tend to see here first hand. The use of techno culture for the benefit and control of some. The main point I tried to make is that the toronto rave culture, which is sht. Tends to capture or reflect very broad nature and generalized strokes of the palette of what is ought to be the norm of culture of dance music here domestically. To be going to a show is NOT life. It is just going to go out and have fun. But to go and to show in ibiza or anywhere where the dance music scene is felt more strongly like italy or germany or ibiza ... then it becomes something more relevant to life. For once - I travel all the way here from toronto to go there and I pay a huge premium to be there..... and one more thing... the experiences felt first hand in europe.. seem more authentic , more real, more faster, more intense and more closer to a lifestyle of dance music approaching a real lifestyle of artistic values. Here in toronto or most places and towns in north america , the prevalent nature is to survive and work. This is not to criticize people in europe or toronto.. but the atmosphere nature and values that give birth to certain choices in artistic freedom in certain cities in europe cannot be matched by most cities here in north america. There is a dysfunction. For me to go out to a show in north america would mainly be to be entertain, not to join a lifestyle of freedom. thus my main criticism springs up... from this differences. A lot of people here in toronto go out with a different mentality... so it makes me angry to see a certain backlash that is culturally attached and usually prejudiced when it comes to people judging others. My aim was to show a certain level of connoisseur. Techno is simple. Go out an enjoy it.
