I'd earlier moved the rear tray portion rearward with padding in the front to change the weight distribution. That created a gap on the bottom. Turns out it was allowing my packs to flex in that gap and cracked my casings across the middle at the gravel pit 😱. Fortunately, all my cells are fine. Gorilla tape to the rescue. Now running the trays stock with padding and the truck is doing Killer 😍🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Lovin all the videos Rich! Got my K8s carbon support exo-skeleton, 23t pinion, and 500k/20M/100k diff fluids and punch set to 5. It's a beast. Temps running fine on full battery runs so far. Not sure how much more gearing the stock motor/ESC can handle, but this sure makes me wanna try some more gearing. Great driving man! Super fun to watch!

Hi rich hope you are doing well 👍💪 I have a little bit of a problem with the kraton 8s 🤔 I bought two smart batteries from spektrum and the charger s1200 DCsmart charger But the problem is that the charger doesn't come with a leed cord and the connectors ove the charger are too small for the spektrum smart batterys that i bought. So my questions are the following : no1 :can I put xt 60 on the batterys and not connect the wire of the smart chip, and charge them with my over charger. No2 :will xt60 connectors be big enough for the power? No3 :if i put xt60 on the car will that limit the power going to the esc and servos!? Well thanks for the setup information! I gotta tell you I love this Beast but I would get killed when I came in saying I just spent close a Grand with taxes for this. I can buy a new Drone almost no issues. There is however a ceiling on my RC Trucks. So i'm really thinking about the 6S Kraton or maybe the Infraction. I'm also thinking about the Gen 2 E-Revo. Lots of choices but that price wow. I was floored when i saw it. Great video as always, wish I could wear shorts in Iowa year around. Must be rough Guys.
I'd go with the Kraton 6s Harry 😱. She's the benchmark for go anywhere basher's 👀. Plus all the upgrade options are readily available if you choose to customize her. I run the stock 40 weight because I want relative easy chassis slap. These shocks can bend under extreme use and being over-dampened with big sends puts more load on the arms, shafts, and rod ends. I've since switched to M2C Racing Delrin O ring style pistons. I tuned them to pair up nicely with the stock 40 weight oil during testing for simplicity 👍. Should be testing some M2C hardened 01 tool steel Kraton 8s shafts soon. If you're not bending shafts with 60 weight and like the handling/performance then stick with it 🍻. I keep an open mind with different set-ups and believe in using what works best for each situation and preference.🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
These pistons have very small holes and tight tolerances 👀. The stock 40 weight felt too firm, too much pack. Chassis slap for the win 😜. She handles amazing now. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Sorry I missed this Brother 👀. Running softer suspension with lighter 30-35 weight oils definitely helps. Thank goodness ARRMA went with beefier shafts and rod ends with the newer 8s EXB. They're a direct fit on the RTR 8s. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@derka5581 most definitely for sparing the rod ends 👊. 3mm button head screws straight into the existing stock arm holes. I've found putting small M3 aluminum spacers under the screws helps keep them from pushing into the arms over time. 🍻

I have a red, black and chrome/silver theme on the build and I therefore bought some parts more for the "looks", rather than just performance. 😉 So I bought the "Louise MT Rock" 3.8 tires with 1/2 offset and chrome rims, to match the M2C parts and new body paint theme. (Maybe they are called "Duratrax" in your region, or perhaps it is two different brands..?) They are very heavy and wide, but they have a ton of grip in the sand pit, are dirt cheap and look awesome. 👍😎 But I do not know how strong and good they really are yet though. Wow man how do your servos last. I can’t get a Arrma 6 s servo to last for longer than a week. Always water makes them flake out. 5 in a row. Arrma servo blissness for me to reap. How does yours last Especially with punishment that would incinerate my servos. What and why I say.
My 6s servos get swapped ASAP 👀. They all have the same gear strip out after the right hit or tumble. No wonder they're dirt cheap on Jenny's RC 😜. Been running Power HD 23kg with good luck thus far. 38-40$ is more my style for decent performance and torque. This S905 1/5 Spectrum is starting to crap out 😱. It stopped holding center at the very end of the video 😝. Maybe there's a reason it's only 49$ 🤣🤣. I've beat the crap out of it so I can't complain. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

@@soldierforchrist4781 yes indeed 👍. I think it's a mistake to remove too much flex from these rigs. The aluminum upgrades add considerable weight if you go overboard. I don't break enough hubs to justify an upgrade anyways. 👍

Lovin all the videos Rich! Got my K8s carbon support exo-skeleton, 23t pinion, and 500k/20M/100k diff fluids and punch set to 5. It's a beast. Temps running fine on full battery runs so far. Not sure how much more gearing the stock motor/ESC can handle, but this sure makes me wanna try some more gearing. Great driving man! Super fun to watch!

I have a little bit of a problem with the kraton 8s 🤔
I bought two smart batteries from spektrum and the charger s1200 DCsmart charger
But the problem is that the charger doesn't come with a leed cord and the connectors ove the charger are too small for the spektrum smart batterys that i bought.
So my questions are the following : no1 :can I put xt 60 on the batterys and not connect the wire of the smart chip, and charge them with my over charger.
No2 :will xt60 connectors be big enough for the power?
No3 :if i put xt60 on the car will that limit the power going to the esc and servos!?
Hope you can help me out mate because don't want to do something stupid

Well thanks for the setup information! I gotta tell you I love this Beast but I would get killed when I came in saying I just spent close a Grand with taxes for this. I can buy a new Drone almost no issues. There is however a ceiling on my RC Trucks. So i'm really thinking about the 6S Kraton or maybe the Infraction. I'm also thinking about the Gen 2 E-Revo. Lots of choices but that price wow. I was floored when i saw it. Great video as always, wish I could wear shorts in Iowa year around. Must be rough Guys.
I'd go with the Kraton 6s Harry 😱. She's the benchmark for go anywhere basher's 👀. Plus all the upgrade options are readily available if you choose to customize her. Hey bud, with a rig this heavy I use 60wt. Shock oil. Why do you use so much lighter? Thx
I run the stock 40 weight because I want relative easy chassis slap. These shocks can bend under extreme use and being over-dampened with big sends puts more load on the arms, shafts, and rod ends. I've since switched to M2C Racing Delrin O ring style pistons. I tuned them to pair up nicely with the stock 40 weight oil during testing for simplicity 👍. Should be testing some M2C hardened 01 tool steel Kraton 8s shafts soon. If you're not bending shafts with 60 weight and like the handling/performance then stick with it 🍻. I keep an open mind with different set-ups and believe in using what works best for each situation and preference.🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Sorry I missed this Brother 👀. Running softer suspension with lighter 30-35 weight oils definitely helps. Thank goodness ARRMA went with beefier shafts and rod ends with the newer 8s EXB. They're a direct fit on the RTR 8s. 🍻😎💪👊👊

@@derka5581 most definitely for sparing the rod ends 👊. 3mm button head screws straight into the existing stock arm holes. I've found putting small M3 aluminum spacers under the screws helps keep them from pushing into the arms over time. 🍻

Could you please recommend me a good oil setting for my Kraton v4 M2C build?
I use 16t pinion, punch 9 and very heavy and large tires (compared to the dBoots).

Thanks so much Peter 😜!!!! The K8s felt totally dialed out there 🤗. She excels at these bigger terrain spots. As far as oils for your V4, that's really a preference thing 🤔. I actually like the stock 80 weight shock oils. For diffs I'm running 50/500/20k front to rear in both of my Kraton 6s rigs. Which wheels are you running 🤔😎💪👊👊

I have a red, black and chrome/silver theme on the build and I therefore bought some parts more for the "looks", rather than just performance. 😉
So I bought the "Louise MT Rock" 3.8 tires with 1/2 offset and chrome rims, to match the M2C parts and new body paint theme. (Maybe they are called "Duratrax" in your region, or perhaps it is two different brands..?)
They are very heavy and wide, but they have a ton of grip in the sand pit, are dirt cheap and look awesome. 👍😎
But I do not know how strong and good they really are yet though.
I hope to finish the build today, but I have some tuning left to do before I can give it a real go.

Wow man how do your servos last. I can’t get a Arrma 6 s servo to last for longer than a week. Always water makes them flake out. 5 in a row.

My 6s servos get swapped ASAP 👀. They all have the same gear strip out after the right hit or tumble. No wonder they're dirt cheap on Jenny's RC 😜. Been running Power HD 23kg with good luck thus far. 38-40$ is more my style for decent performance and torque. This S905 1/5 Spectrum is starting to crap out 😱. It stopped holding center at the very end of the video 😝. Maybe there's a reason it's only 49$ 🤣🤣. I've beat the crap out of it so I can't complain. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Ya I was just running 2 s in my new typhon and the servo I had just went out with no hard bashing. It just happened easy.

I'm currently running the M2C Racing Crusher SWB chassis kit and 7075 motor mount with Hobbywing 5687 1100kv and Max5 on a 29T pinion. I favor Hobbystar 6000 and 8000mah 100c 4s hard packs from RCJuice. Lots of guys seem happy with GensAce 😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Ed 😜!!!! The 5687 1100kv is working great so far 👍. It's got all the power and torque I was really looking for. The K8s really is amazing for a first release. Fortunately, we're not seeing really cold weather this winter. That's helped with the plastics for sure. I bought spare arms but haven't needed them yet. Think I saw you posted up a vid earlier 👀. I dont remember if i asked this before or not but is the K8s m2c chassis thicker thsn the 1:8 m2c chassis? Seems like the diffs are much stronger💪on the k8s.everytime i see you post a video its like Christmas man.its always such a treat seeing what you can do and all your help n tips.

Thanks Naim 🤗!!!! Temps are great 👍. ESC about 90F, motor 110-120F. I'm using both Hobbystar 6500mah 100c and 8000mah 100c 4s hard packs from RCJuice. Run times are 20-25 minutes depending on driving style. 😎💪👊👊

@@soldierforchrist4781 yes indeed 👍. I think it's a mistake to remove too much flex from these rigs. The aluminum upgrades add considerable weight if you go overboard. I don't break enough hubs to justify an upgrade anyways. 👍
