I use V2, the free version of X. It made my trash aim a lot better very quickly, and helped to fix myediting crosshair placement
I used V2 as well, but the hot key change for X made me switch

@@Synful_ I think you go into HUD settings, where there is a setting to turn off your reticle, which is what a crosshair is.

i just got a custom crosshair a few weeks ago and even thought there isn't that big of a difference, it's still noticeable. loving the frequent uploads btw, watching your videos makes my day 20x better.
edit: i am using crosshair v2 which is free so it isn't as good as crosshair x but it's still really good.
i use v2, i use the pink cross on the second size and I believe my shotgun aim is wayyy better than before because the shotgun has a big crosshair, but now i cant rely on that and the small crosshair makes me hit so many max pumps

And yup I started with crosshair v2, and then folded and got crosshair x because I wanted a different shotgun crosshair compared to my smg/editing.
@@reidtheninja yo reid, idk if u can fulfill this request but can you do a zone analysis from the solo vc a couple days ago in opens and finals and help predict what side the zones are most likely goin to be on and the route you should take from different parts of the map? Another thing you missed. The build crosshair changes to another type of crosshair when someone else is trying to edit their builds. Handy for detecting playing in cones.
True, that is a big thing I noticed. Can't believe I forgot to add it. Good eye
another disadvantage of crosshairs is that you cant play in full screen and lose a bit of performance
I'm pretty sure there's a way to set it up where you can play in full screen

Pro 3 is the same reason I switched honestly.
My aim feels so much better simply because I’m not using my spread as a crutch for my aim. It feels like my aim has improved so much since I switched.

I used to use a custom crosshair and I would say it definitely felt like I had better crosshair placement when building/editing. The reason why I turned it off was bc of the auto shotguns bc for some reason I felt as if my aim was worse with the smaller crosshair and I would miss more shots. I did feel like I hit max damage shots more often so I might have to give the custom crosshair another try now the that auto shotgun is out of the game. Also changing the crosshair depending on what gun I have out of if I’m ADSing is a very interesting thing that I might have to play around with
I feel that, the auto shotty was a little weird going from the default crosshair filling half your screen, to just a small cross. But yeah definitely give it another shot!

Sort of. You can do the weird animation settings for specific slots like I was talking about for scoped weapons, but for ease of mind, keeping it simple is probably better for most

It's a slippery slope brother 😂 I wish you luck. Although overlaying a custom over the default red/white build icon is also really distracting since you can't just remove one piece of the default crosshairs, you have to remove it for every gun, building, editing, pickaxe, etc

Great video! I just had a quick question - is it possible to only have the custom crosshair on for certain guns, and have some that still have the default crosshair? (eg. on for shotgun, off for AR/SMG) Or do you have to have the custom crosshair on for each weapon?
No you can not have default crosshairs on anything if you turn them off. Although you can program hotkeys for your shotgun button and make those hotkeyed crosshairs look as similar as you can make it in crosshair x

also when using guns without a scope you can't see the bloom and makes it harder to get first shot accuracy, and in box fights or zonewars unless youre playing a map with the new guns then you wont have a scope

Depends if you want to have crosshairs that change with hotkeys or the aim animation. If those don't matter to you then I'd just recommend v2
I use a custom crosshair with reticle on and it helps with the shotgun problem

What about when shooting? Would that be a pro too or am i just dumb. Cuz when constantly shooting with stuff like the harbringer the default crosshair kind seperates and gets bigger. While using the custom crosshair it stays the same size. Unless it doesn't 🤷♂
it personally makes it easier to track when your crosshair isn’t moving and is still on the center of your screen
Great comment. You can actually make the custom crosshair move when shooting to spread apart. I don't do this though because it's less of a mental overload to focus on a still crosshair. Because whether it moves or not, the best place to aim is still the center, so there's no reason to make it move other than preference.

this video idea looks straight outta clippedbykate's head lol. I bet he loves this one. Also if you did a mongraal classic you would be on your shotgun crosshair after because you have to click the shotgun slot to go back after placing builds. If the wall and ramp were already there you would be on your edit crosshair but that's rare and usually you will be in your build menu because you placed the ramp and wall. Idk why I commented this I just noticed and im a yapper so yk. 😭

You can do it on console. It's a little tricky since you need to add the overlay straight to your monitor instead of the system, but I've seen it

Sounds good in theory, but the best editors are able to build and edit back to back in a row without switching. Blueprint editing is one of the best skills to learn

I bought crosshair X and i get the same crosshair for every gun in reload or creative, i noticed your crosshair and mongraal's crosshair changes with each gun, can you post a tutorial for that?
I explain it in the vid. You just need to set hotkeys for it in crosshair x. There is a section in the side bar for it, I don't think it needs a whole tutorial (for my channel at least) but you could probably find one out there

Hey Reid. Im on PS4. Do you know how could I get a custom crosshair.
It's not going to be easy but it's possible. First I'd recommend seeing if the playstation store has any sort of overlay you can add to your screen, but if not, there are ways to add it straight to your monitor or tv. It may require messing with your monitor settings or adding some sus software, but I've definitely seen it done before

i woulnt say so it makes my aim with a hammer pump like a teeny tiny bit worse but my spraying aim if someone running or in the air is a lot better

I like that option too since you don't lose any of the information from the default crosshair. Although the god awful building/edit icon still shows up

On my monitor I use one of the built in crosshair that is in the middle of my screen and I keep the fortnite crosshair but idk how to do it on my ps5

You'd have to apply it straight to your monitor since consoles don't have an OS that allow 2 apps to run on top of each other

Nothing is bannable. If it was there would be like 50 people in the world playing fortnite. Epic games lets people cheat, cos they just want everyone to keep playing and hoping they will buy shit. I thought aimbot was bad, but now people are shooting me through walls, and can get up on a roof, even loot island without any visual effects. They know exactly where i am. I can hide somewhere and put my controller down and watch them slide in, gun is already aimed at my head and back to the lobby i go. Pc players are allowed to use third party apps. They reckon it aint cheating. If they can use apps to help them, then its an unfair advantage which is cheating imo anyway
