This song is where I felt Mingi’s absence the most. The mash up was Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. The group singing with them was La Poem-a quartet of classically trained vocalists. All their Kingdom stages were epic. They’ve always had the vocals. I think they are one of the most balanced groups-they don’t have a weak area and can do any concept.
So in their lore Ateez are being chased through time and dimensions. The masked guy in chains are androids trying to catch them. This stage was done entirely for the fans with Easter eggs throughout. Kingdom Ateez stages were amazing but their Kingdom experience was not good. Best part of this performance is Jongho throwing the crown and telling MNET where they can put their crown.
Even though this performance in my opinion is one of their best, they were placed in last place after this because this was for the fans and the judges didn't understand it. It was part of their storyline.
I hate that show changed the rules for this round and made fan/global voting worth more bc it made ateez last with this performance sincs they were the youngest group and least known 😭😭
