Regarding the inferior surface of the basal occipital bone: correct me if I am wrong, but the pharyngobasilar fascia can definitely be attached anteriorly to the pharyngeal tubercle, but the buccopharyngeal must be attached posteriorly, as they enclose the constrictor muscles, and same for the posterior relation (alar/prevertebral)
