I had the distinct honor of being in attendance at this event. the acoustics were phenomenal and I will always remember it!!! I had the pleasure of having box seating which was great, but truly appreciated the sound when I wandered further up in the seating. best concert ever!!!

Elvin Jones and Ron Carter..inmortal legends of jazz. Freddie Hubbard and Mc Coy Tyner they trespass human comprehension. Hence most people can't grasp these marvelous notes.

I am from San Jose California and I remember this concert taking place back then, and several years later unbeknownst to me I found the live recording LP at a record store,, to this day I still have it and it’s in good condition.

I really enjoy the album Tyner and Jones recorded around this time with Pharoah and Richard Davis on bass- but I wish they had recorded an album with Freddie and Ron as well- phenomenal!

I've always been a hat guy. People don't understand the "beanies" that I wear. These are my jazz hats. I qualify. I play music. Ron Carter's hat is the real deal.

Beautiful footage, man! Although it seems to me that most people attending there didn't care about the music being played.

6000 viewers, I can't believe it, some other videos of trashy music without any artistic values at all has 1 billion viewers, yes 1B, a complete disaster in term of taste for music, I pray to God that someday the people learn to admire a real music played by real artists.

It is called free will.... we also know that vegetables are good for us but we still eat cake and shorten our lives. We get fat and shorten our lives... I love McCoy and Freddie Hubbard! and all on stage but it is about choices. The love and passion we feel about this, someone else may feel as passionate about some silly POP song..... room for everyone

Hey, lots of jazz musicians turned silly pop songs into classics!

Remember John Coltrane? He took a corny show tune and turned it into a vehicle for out-of-this-world improvisation. And McCoy Tyner took an overlooked Beatles tune, "She's Leaving Home", and turned it into a beautiful waltz. There have been, and no doubt will be, other instances.

@@BartonFarley1 If only Salome Gens were in the audience! We would have had an "I Spy" and an "Outer Limits" reunion! Culp was in an "Outer Limits" episode with Salome Jens, "Corpus Earthling," which aired in November 1963.
