@@NoobVisions79 Noooo, they have to change the mid and late game as that game has the worst scaling. The early and the way to the mid game is fun, after that it loses the plot.

I hate it when I randomly find out about a game that I feel really excited about and can't wait to play, but then I go over to Steam and find out the game will be released in 10 years or something.

So happy to see you play this! I was recently feeling nostalgic for The Movies, and then I heard about this game. I've been playing the prologue myself and having a blast. I can't wait for the full version

It's a spiritual successor! It's directly inspired by The Movies from my understanding. Which I'm so happy about, because The Movies doesn't run well on my modern PC, even if I run it in compatibility mode.
It looks like they improved some mechanics
I literally just thought the same thing lol hopefully its even better than the first one if lionhead hadn't gone bust im sure the movies would have been awesome with a few more expansion packs
But does it have the commentator from The Movies? He was one of the best parts! :)

I still play it to the original discs no longer run on my machine but i downloaded a abandonware copy of the game and runs very smoothly thank goodness

I was literally thinking recently, if i could make a 'the movies' game, but a bit upgraded and some of the bugs and annoyances removed, i would. This is amazing.

I'm excited to see a new game in the vein of The Movies game! Wishlisted it already. I'd love to play The Movies again, but it's just too much jumping through hoops to try and get it working.
You won't see it. The Devs have split and stopped supporting this game
So its in the style of The Movies with modern gameplay updates similar to the Two Point games nice!
This looks really promising. Awesome UI, so many details and good ideas, wow. This could be a really good game, maybe the best of it's kind since the actual The Movies
Some nice concepts, but it feels like it's missing a whole lot of the charm of The Movies. Just a first impression I get!

Yeah, but the studio that made it is closed already. And you can't buy it anymore. And if you get a disk it would be a pain in the ass to make it work.
@ Even if you have a no-cd crack version, or still have the disk, it really doesn't like to run on modern computers, even if you use compatibility mode. So its very very difficult to run it even if you can get a copy. I'm really glad that we're finally getting a spiritual successor

at last the game that I waited so much time looks like The Movies game... I loved it and I'm gonna play it... building a movie lot is so detailed and this is amazing... we can even control and add the building sizes and set decorations more free and easy...that's the thing that I wanted...if I wonder that there is an option to see whole movie scenes that shot on the sets after release them as seen in the Movies game? which means, release a movie and see the "eye" button to see our movie before release it like in The Movies game...adjusting scenes are so brilliant and perfect to give us freedom to create movies that we want to...th other thing that I so much love this game is, it looks like The Sims games...finally, we can see bars of the crew such as bladder, hungry, sleep and etc...that's a nice touch...that's the complete freedom and beautiful tycoon game that I'll play after The Movies game...editing buildings and sets is the most handy and genious idea of the dev team of this game...

omg, when will this launch? i love it already!
i just noticed in the steam store there's this in june and another (movies tycoon) also coming out in june. at first i thought there was just one but definitely two different items in the store. is there a story behind these? are they related? [i added both to my wishlist so i can compare them when they come out....and until today i had not predicted i would be in the market for a movie studio simulator 😀]
Sometimes in your desire to rush to show us as much as possible of the game, what you actually show us is maybe not as good as it could be :) I know you do hard limits of 30mins - I'd much rather see 30min of fun engaging game play that you enjoy than a rush to show as much as possible. Just my 2 cents :)

@@thedarkerknight2188Not intended that way in the slightest - actually quite the opposite. It was an attempt at showing the lighthearted nature of the comment. I generally enjoy most or Potato's content just wanted to pitch in with some feedback. I also downloaded and played the prologue myself following this video.

Yes it reminded me of the sims 4 immediately! not the gameplay of course but the UI and sounds are almost exactly the same. It looks good though

The writers created a new script:
"The Dictator"
It's a film about a chap that was born in Scotland, but as a youth, was recruited into a high-level KGB training academy.
He graduated with a double-doctorate degree in Circling Around Planets and Solanum Tuberosum.
As an undercover officer, he went on a mission to the UK and became their prime minister. After a successful mission in the UK, he went to other capitalist countries to become their presidents.
After all of these amazing missions, the communist party said, "We want him as our dictator!"
He then started his own great nation, based out of Potatograd, permitting the citizens to work 22 hours per day building his personal fleet of OP-144 supersonic jets.

UI is total copy od sims 4, look like some expansion
I just want you and everyone to know that I accidentally stabbed my right eardrum and drew blood while watching this video from how goo it was (it was actually because I'm a "recovering" arachnophobe who decided to look at a spider that was above my "office" space to verify if it in fact was a quadruped, it moved down toward me and thus the stabbing occurred...
...I suppose this means the spider is a functional quadriplegic 😂)
