Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, and Others Are Agents With Conflicting Agendas In Upcoming Action Drama

Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, and Jo Yoon Soo's roles in the forthcoming drama "The Tyrant" have been revealed. "The Tyrant" is a pursuit action drama set after the final sample from a program known as the "Tyrant Program" vanishes due to a delivery error. This initiates a series of chases involving persons with various motivations, all striving to get the sample. Park Hoon Jung, known for outstanding works such as the "New World" and "The Witch" film series, directed "The Tyrant" with the purpose of making it into a film. However, as filming continued, it was decided to convert it into a four-part series in order to adequately capture the dramatic plot, varied characters, and progressive storytelling. Cha Seung Won will play Im Sang, a former agent charged with eradicating elements associated with the Tyrant Program. Kim Seon Ho will play Director Choi, a man with ties to a government agency but who operates informally as the brains behind the Tyrant Program. Kim Kang Woo adds suspense to the story as Paul, a member of an overseas spy organization who is determined to remove the Tyrant Program's final surviving sample. Rookie actress Jo Yoon Soo completes the group as the talented engineer Ja Kyung, who is charged with stealing the Tyrant Program's last sample. Disney+'s original series "The Tyrant" is expected to premiere in the second half of 2024.
