The Elephanta caves are located in Western India on Elephanta Island (otherwise known as the Island of Gharapuri), The Elephanta caves contain rock cut stone sculptures. Elephanta caves is connected by ferry services from the Gateway of India, Mumbai. The caves are the most magnificent achievement in the history of rock-architecture in western India. Elephanta caves still present a rich heritage of ancient history to the tourist.

How much time did it take to cover whole trip and at what time should we reach there so we can visit entire place? What time it closes?
It will take almost 6hrs to explore this place. I would prefer to visit in afternoon time.
