The SNES version's 2 player vs mode is incredibly intense. It's almost like playing Tekken when 2 knowledgeable players are going head to head with combo after combo. Each side going up then down while the announcer is like "Cool!" and "Hello!" And sometimes it says "Breakfast!" and an egg falls down.

I'd almost like to see videos for both lists for various consoles: The last five games developed by the console maker itself, and the last five games overall for the console.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the Genesis version of Crash Dummies as that was one I rented a lot back in the day. The NES game is playable but gets old really fast. Last 5 N64 games ever released video would be a good one. Conker's and Mario Party 3 were among the last.
xD the flintstone game was on almost EVERY nes clone you could buy on German Flee Market it seems. I knew of 4 kids with NES Clones (all looking like the European SNES) with had different games on it but every one had the Flinstsone game
I would like to hear more of the context like how long after the next console came out, and what other games were coming out around that time (I was surprised to see Yoshi anywhere on the NES for example)
I think here in Europe The Lion King was released in 1995, not 1994. Anyway, I don't remember that mode B being in SNES Wario's Woods. I'll need to check that out. I agree with you on the controls in Jungle Book, yeah, they are really frustrating and take a lot getting used to. I still like the game though
Consoles’ final games can be interesting, I even own a few myself! The PSone’s last game here in Europe was either Schnappi or Shoot, I own Schnappi mainly because it’s tied to an IP I love! This made me curious about the last 5 official NA releases that were NES only (not co-released with games for other platforms). Which are: Rescue Rangers 2, Mega Man 6, Mickey's Adventures in Numberland, Startropics 2, and Surprise at Dinosaur Peak. This is really difficult to do with Game Boy by the way, different people could have radically different lists based on where they draw the lines.
I remember how sad me and my brother have been, once we where told that NES games won´t be produced anymore. My last game I ever bought was Mega Man V - and it litterally ROCKED!
Taito made two Flintstones games. The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy was the first game and was really well done. You can only play as Fred, but it was a solid platformer.

The NES wasn't formally discontinued until 1995 worldwide, although I believe many of the games released in 1995 were NTSC games released in PAL territories (eg. Wario's Woods).
It seems so short now. 91 to 94. By that timeline, PS5 should already be seeing a sunset. Younger people have no idea how fast technology moved in the 90s.
Software Toolworks also made the Miracle Piano teaching system, which came with a cartridge full of music exercise games and a pretty substantial keyboard with big stereo speakers and full-sized keys.
I was always under the impression that StarTropics 2 was onle of the last NES games ever released but I guess there were atleast 5 that came after it. My cousin had that Flintstones game and I remember it being quite fun when we played it.
Thanks for uploading! This video is informative and well-presented :) I’m interested in more videos on this topic. Can you do a video on the final 5 games for the Game Boy Color?
It's wild how the NES was still getting official game releases in North America when the SNES only had a few years left in that market. These games shared store shelves with the likes of Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, DOOM II, The Elder Scrolls: Arena, Tie Fighter, Warcraft and X-COM. I know it's not the craziest lifespan for a game console, but it's still impressive considering how fast technology was progressing at the time. The NES launched in North America when systems like the Atari 2600 and Intellivision were still the de facto game consoles and was discontinued around the same time that the PlayStation was first released.
I lost over 300 digital games when my Xbox 360 quit. Digital games are not real games as they can be taken away from you at any time with no compensation. I suggest that if you buy digital games that you play them ASAP.

@@roguerifter9724 good on you. Good thinking. My Xbox 360 hard drive is fine but I have to buy a new 360 slim to access it. I already got one, but the previous owner engaged family mode which makes the console completely useless. The other frustrating part is that the Xbox 360 will no longer connect to the internet because Roger's bought Shaw.... internet service providers here in Canada. Roger's doesn't offer 4G service, only 5G and the 360 is incompatible with that. But, even though you've backed your stuff up (back it up again to be safe!) I still suggest you play those games! My physical game collection is over 2000 games, digital doubles it, but many times I would buy digital games because of price and then never play them. So, you think you're saving money but you're actually burning it! Yikes!
What a great video! These last few games had some of the best graphics on the console. Check out Felix the Cat and Kirbys Dreamland too, I remember those games came out near the end of life for the console and their graphics were exceptional for the NES.
In my opinion it is neat to see how later NES generation they sort of realized the 256 colors were never going to create art like the 16-bit consoles so they focused the visuals largely on animations. I think it paid off.
Fun Fact: Wario's Woods is the only NES game to get an age rating from the ESRB.

I lost over 300 digital games when my Xbox 360 quit.
Digital games are not real games as they can be taken away from you at any time with no compensation.
I suggest that if you buy digital games that you play them ASAP.
@@danbauer3669 I have two New 3DS XLs, one barely used, with all my downloaded games and DLCs on both so that probably won't be an issue for a long time.
Yikes!
Would love to see N64 next. Keep up the awesome videos!
I would definitely be interested in seeing this kind of list for other systems; not particularly picky which ones.
Great video!! I dig your “The Strokes” shirt. One of my fav bands!!!
Excellent reviews and good information! So interesting that an SNES game got backwards ported to the NES. Still trying to wrap my head around that.
Would like to see the video for N64. Probably my all time favorite console
Hey Erin, great Retro video! You and Mike have a great Holiday season!
Great video. Same topic Game Boy would be interesting.
