    Subbed. Nice build! Love the cleat with the clipboard and calculator. That is where all the fun in the shop starts!

      Really appreciate it. Thats my little desk! I mainly use it for an iPad where I control music and reference my CAD drawings

    Nicely done. Love the angled display style holders you made.

      Thanks! I didn’t go into detail about building the holders. Maybe that’s another video🤔

    The holders are more important than the wall. You could do video on the ones you are going to build, or already have built.

      Great idea! I’ll definitely look into that!

    I have something similar but not as large of a wall.
    Question though. Why not insulate before putting the plywood up?

    • @FirthFabrications
      @FirthFabrications  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally should have. Might make working in these winter months a little more bearable!

    The most relatable part is : 2 videos, 2 trips to get TONS of plywood in a family car, I can just see myself doing this last week. Fold every chair down, stuff each plate in thinking “plz dont break a window, plz dont break a window”
    And then drive home hella careful. And do the reverse when you get there.
    Question. How did you decide the spacing?

    • @FirthFabrications
      @FirthFabrications  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ha! Its so satisfying getting all that plywood into the car, though! Spacing was completely dictated by aesthetics. I wanted the spaces to be about as big as the cleats themselves. To make this happen, I had to make my spacers slightly larger than the cleats themselves. there was a little math involved to make them the exact size.

      The whole thing about stuffing plywood into the family car makes me wonder about just having the lumberyard deliver. Most hereabouts will deliver for a nominal fee.

    • @ProjectsandThings
      @ProjectsandThings 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cammurray8453 true, I also ise that service but when it’s worth it. Like needing 5sheets of specific studd they dont sell around the corner. When it’s locally sold I do the slow-drive with the car cause I cam by an extra sheet for the delivery price. What does delivery cost around your area? Here its 50-70 euros

    • @cammurray8453
      @cammurray8453 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on the supplier, and how urgent the delivery, costs range from 25-75$. Very large orders might be free delivery.

    • @FirthFabrications
      @FirthFabrications  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the 1.75HP contractor model with the 36in t-glide upgrade and the mobile base upgrade. She’s lovely.

    @liquidhalf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm curious, how far apart is your spacing?

    • @FirthFabrications
      @FirthFabrications  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Spacing is 2.5in, the same as the cleat size. In retrospect, I should have made the spacing a little larger than the cleat size because now to use the left over cleats for holders, I have to trim them down a bit.

    I love the French Cleat wall style and I have one myself...
    I definitely recommend getting way more efficient in the building of tool organizers

      Hey there, Jaime. Sorry you were disappointed. I’ve thought about adding a voice over to my videos as I’m till kind of figuring out my style. You think that would be more useful to you and others? I appreciate your feedback. Keep it coming.
