For the first two seasons Lily was played by twins. From the third season on she was played by actress Aubrey Anderson - Emmons 😊
Almost all infants are played by twins or multiple babies due to labor laws regarding babies.
I wonder why they didn't choose a set of twins for the new Lily aswell? Same labor laws applies for a 4 yr old.
@@FEARNoMore Not true. Infants cant be on set for more than 2 hours a day for generally only 20 minutes of shooting time. 4 year olds can work up to 5 hours a day. Its not just labor laws but also SAG guidelines. Actors are unionized and heavily regulated.
@@nullakjg767 No I get there are state, federal labor laws and also union laws/guidelines specific to entertainment. I just thought this was the standard in California. "For example, in California, the age rules and max work hours are as follows:
under 6 months old - 20 minutes
6 months to 2 years old - 2 hours
2 years to 6 years old - 3 hours
6 years to 9 years old - 4-6 hours
9 years and 16 years old - 5-7 hours
16 years and 17 years old - 6-10 hours" 🤷♂
It was bleeped in the show. The whole idea is she's saying the word. In realtiy, they didn't want the actress to be cussing, so she was saying "fudge", if im not mistaken. One of the cast members did an interview and mentioned that.

Eric Stone Street, a straight actor playing Cameron, a gay character on this show & Neil Patrick Harris, a gay actor playing Barney, a straight character on HIMYM are two cases of brilliant casting. Their acting was amazing
Twins Ella and Jaden Hiller played the infant Lily for the first two seasons. Aubrey Anderson-Emmons took over the role for the remaining 9 seasons. That word was beeped in the actual show because that word is not allowed on U.S. Network Television. The U.S. doesn't use the watershed like U.K. television does.
The baby Lily in the first one or maybe two seasons was played by a set of twins. The talking Lily is played by a different actress for the rest of the show.

Was bleeped on network tv and I think they thought it added to the comedic effect. Also the waitress at the restaurant is the actress's mom.
They made the right call (well, not like they had a choice - this aired on a major network and is considered a family show. They never would have been allowed to actually say it, let alone multiple times).
But even if they had, bleeping it would have been the right decision. I'm not generally a fan of censoring, but it DOES make it funnier in this case.
The scene in the restaurant had Lily's real mom playing the waitress. Plus, she is Korean decent.
Whats even more shocking is that Cam is not gay in real life and is also not goofy at all. Hes an incredible actor

If i remember, the tv show also bleeped out the "swearing"I have a feeling she said "FUDGE" in real life that was bleeped out. Yep, the Lily actress is the same and she grew up on that show as the show was on for many seasons.
It's not the same actress. "Baby" Lily was always crying so she was replaced with an older actress - the one that played the part until the series ended
@@cissya433 You are right! Lily played by the twins was replaced and had the new Lily recast. At first I believed you were mistaking replacement with the new son Gloria gave birth to on the show (not Manny, the other younger brother) and grew up and had to be replaced because of bad behavior. I remember Julie Bowen talking about that replacement when she was on Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon. You can watch her talking that on TH-cam. Must have been two recastings for both roles Lily and Manny's younger toddler brother.

In the US, you can't cuss on national TV. Cable TV you can swear since you are paying for it. So yes, the bleeps were in the show. They also use the bleeps to enhance the comedy.

In America, it's censored no one except probably the people on the set knows what she says if it actually said a bad word.
on network channels yes. not censored on like hbo, amc, pbs, starz channels. and it's unlikely she actually cursed, like on the unnecessary censorship segment on jimmy kimmel. you can make any word sound like a curse word. lol
For the first two season Lily was played by a set of twins. From season 3 to the end of the show Lily was played only by one person (neither of the twins it was a third person).

Cam is the best! Lily is awesome too, she makes a lot more smart ass comments than you saw here lol. It is cool to see the age difference in the kids. Really shows how long this series ran. You guys should do a best of Cam video. I think he won a couple Emmys for the role. Actually I think a lot of them did.

One of the show runners said in an interview that she was saying “fudge”…also, you need to see that entire scene at the Vietnamese restaurant. It’s one of the best in the entire run of the show 😂. One last thing, most people are surprised the first time they find out that Eric Stonestreet aka “Cam” is straight in real life. Jesse Tyler-Ferguson (“Mitch”) who is actually gay always says Eric is “gay for pay.” 😂

It's a running theme within the acting community that it's an absolute nightmare to work with kids, or animals. Because they're unpredictable and unreliable. It slows down production.
