Such a beautiful place and wonderful video and adventure, thank you. I can't imagine what it is like to live alongside the crocs, how to relax and enjoy going for a swim / walk? But obviously you have it worked out, and are in your element. Looks like heaven on earth.
I think the one thing we learnt was never to be complacent!!! Even if you don't see them they are there! So we were very cautious, i guess it was very exciting too haha! Our boat isn't very high off the water so i never dangled my legs over the side.. The kimberley's has been the best place we have ever sailed to. Thankyou for watching!
Just found your site really enjoyable and interesting then I find you sold your boat hope you post some more soon on what you are doing next Love and kindness to you both
Love the imagery and scenery you are providing me with in your posts. Having lived up there on an island I really love looking at ht places you guys are checking out. Keep up the great work guys and stay safe. Cheers for now, looking forward to the next one... ;-}

thanks for sharing this amazing country with us, you do such an outsanding job of it. will you continue your adventuring when you sell your boat ? regards from ireland.
Thankyou! Yes always doing adventures but we will be working to save up for a bigger boat to go cruising in and to have a family, we want to be on the sea for the rest of our lives but alas have to make safcrifices for a while to make it happen! thanks for watching!!!
This all looks absolutely beautiful and beckoning. But you would not ever catch me swimming anywhere ! Especially after reading all the grisly details of Ginger Meadow's horrible encounter. Nope - I'm happy to look and appreciate from land.
We have a huge Long pole in the tender to ward off any crocs that come close, but to be honest what the hell is that going to do? haha so no not really, we are just very very cautious, you also use the pole to push your self out in the tender in shallower waters as you would never wade around in murky waters!
Hey guys, I see you are selling Tangaroa, but looking for a bigger boat. I hope you can get another Wharram, but will still follow you if you end up with something else. I love your videos, you are just real folks. I love the ruggedness and seaworthiness of the Wharram designs. I have a Tiki 21 and used to have a Pahi 31. Hey, build yourselves a Tiki 46, now that is big and a Wharram. Anyway tons of luck. Robin
Hi Robin, thanks so much. we have had some beautiful msgs from people all around the world, we weren't aware that so many people watched us and actually liked us haha. I put videos up and then forget about them. Thanks for the kind words appreciate it!
Nice Video. When you said The Prince Regent River is straight, I thought, must flow through a geological fault line. Tracked the fault on Google earth imagery almost to the road between Halls Creek and Ord River. It runs across the south edge of a formation that looks like an eye staring up from the ground.
Tough to keep Croc watch when the water is so murky. If you get above a big falls then you should be safe from Salties. What about the man-o-wars and other venomous sea creatures? I was always nervous swimming in the ocean and saltie territory. Upstream on the Drysdale was nice though.
I'm sure you could spend a lifetime exploring Australia and still not see everything. It really does look lovely. Question : do you boil the water before drinking ?

We throw a stern anchor out into the middle of the creek, climb up with a long bow line tie it off with alot of slack, it usually stays off the rocks and has plenty of play room. If its on a beach we have our long bow line and first anchor stretched as far up as it can go, and tie another line with another anchor onto the first anchor which goes further up the beach. Does that make sense haha? if we go ashore at 11am and the tide is coming in we check the tide chart and come back when the tide is back at the same level on the way back out!

Yeah salties go into fresh water. But if there’s a big enough falls/cliff/escarpment you can be pretty sure they’re not around

timid and also a lot smaller
