Pirate radio will eventually become big again. FM transmitters are much more powerful and much more cheaper and easier to pick up these days. Especially when radio these days are becoming more and more corporatized just like the old days. Digital or FM, doesn't matter. The culture will build up again.
I remember as a young teenager in Liverpool hearing a car go past my house blasting music I hadn't heard before and thinking what's that? I played around with the dial and found Zee FM 107.6, I fell in love with unlicensed stations at that point
Old chestnut on interference with emergency services 🤥 the whole emergency services runs on digital systems which is on high frequency? DAB is a way forward open source software system. Excellent documentary video, it would be interesting when both the big corporations and BBC finally call it a day on FM?
😭 to be fair Harry...there was a good reason to be grim as that filming was taking place...as I actually knew we were about to get a raid. Nothing new in that...although this time it was already decided privately that once the imminent raid had taken place...that this was probably going to be the last time Buzz would be on the air. After 16 years on and off the air it was sad to know then at the time of filming that this was all about to end in the way we knew it. The final raid came one week to the day after this was filmed...and Buzz never did return to the FM 🏴☠️
Wow, the very last time i listened to buzz i was listening to Snow, i still remember some of the songs he was playing that nite, Sizzla-Rainshowers, Barrington levy My woman, Buju Banton. Man i got stoned that nite. Reeeeewiiiiiiiind
