Always thought the semifinal was better particularly that part after the very high note at 2:11. Showing her whole body and dress really gave the impression she was floating in space. In the final, they only showed the upper part of her and the bottom of the dress is way below the screen, made it look like she could have been standing on more solid ground.
I think visually the lighting was brighter and nicer in the beginning of grand final than in the semi but then the lighting was better in the semi but there was very little difference vocally between the two performances.
Semifinal was better overall, vocally, pole reveal (it was less obvious, especially towards the first 'chorus'), and better representation of depression (their presence, especially 0:34 and 1:34)
Also in the semifinal the crowd weren't singing, I think some songs can benefit from crowd participation. but a beautiful deep song many have never heard before should be experienced performed by the singer.
First semi final seems calmer and better timed performance. Think the adrenaline on final night plus some vocal issues through which might have been worrying her made the finals just slightly more manic and crazy. Maybe loosing a bit more control. My preference was for the first semi final. Though it could be just cause that's when I first saw it and it blew me away!
The backup singers are better in semi because they werent so loud compared in the finals.. they were too loud in the final I cant barely hear Kate in the last part..

I liked the fixed camera at 2:28 - 2:33 more in the final, it made the zoom-out effect of the background video stand out.
