Many years ago I saw Clarence and Roy Clark together at a filming for Austin City Limits. It was phenomenal! Being in the presence of 2 of the greatest guitarists ever was an humbling experience!
I’ve been watching this video for about 5 years now. I’ve grown up watching this video. Started watching when i was 15. I am 19 currently bout to be 20. I’m glad this video has been here for me to come back to so so frequently and I hope it continues to stay here forever.
I loved his talking-guitar antics, and this is a GOOD EXAMPLE of that. I know he couldn't do that for every song, but I wish we'd have more videos of him demonstrate he and his talkin' guitar.
Clarence Gatemouth BROWN was a Musical PERFECTION . He had absolute and irresitible presence .....in any kind of genre . He can't be compared but called a Greatest and a Gift for us . Thanks and R.I.P.....with the " Angels through the realms of Glory ".
It's always great to come across another video with the late Dennis Taylor on tenor sax. Dennis was from my hometown in Vermont and was part of my inspiration to be a jazz musician when he was in high school and I was in junior high.
Wow! Never heard of Mr. Clarence Brown before. I must born in the wrong era. My era has a lot of mediocres than originators. Thanks for posting this. Wow!
My friend tried to buy him a beer at Liberty Hall in Houston. He looked at him and said why would I need a beer from you white boy and that’s not even my brand. Tough customer

Love his sense of humor. What a great band also.
How do I keep going down these TH-cam holes and find even more brilliant musicians. I thought I knew the blues but Clarence is on another level.
