Please reply sir🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi, understood your concern. Depending on the company size, you might work in a big company with separate departments for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical, or in a medium-scale or fit-out company with just an MEP department.
In medium or small-scale companies, even if you're from an electrical background, you'll often handle all services, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting. This versatility is common in the market, with many electrical professionals also doing mechanical work.
Not only in drafting, If you're aiming for roles in quantity surveying, estimation, or BIM modeling, mechanical skills are beneficial. Getting a job in mechanical is not tough. You will get it for sure if you are skilled. However, focus on electrical too, as it's your primary background and crucial for long term career growth. Balancing both will enhance your career prospects.
