It’s funny that Pen is the wallflower and shy type but Nicola is such a Sunshine while Colin is always the center of attraction but Luke is like shy and reserved during interviews.
Nicola Coughlan , you are incredible! So glad that you never gave up chasing your dreams! ❤ S3 is next level in every department. Hair, make up ... the dresses! I can't wait to see Penelope light up from within and shine bright. ✨
This is wonderful. You can really see that because Nicola is on set and in character costume and appearance that the way she talks and behaves is véry much like Penelope and a lot more polite and reserved in a way. I love that. Love to see that. I've heard quite a few actors say how when their look changes, they change along with it but it's amazing to see in between takes the behaviour off screen compared to how they are during interviews as themselves. Absolutely wonderful.
They must have a firm reason why they don’t do the interview by sitting down, because Luke and Nicole really looked like witnesses of some accidents that happened in 19th century and somehow they’re being investigated by a local detective 😭
Kudos to these creative fashion and hair geniuses who breathe life into these beloved characters. Your work brings us joy and the 16th can’t come soon enough!
The corset she was wearing is something modern (the cups are all wrong) with some late Victorian influence. Completely anachronistic but the silhouette achieved isn’t terrible.
The book cannon and showrunners were very clear about Penelope's character being decidedly curvy--a very atypical silhouette for the Era. Her petite stature and volumptuousness was a huge part of her character's uniqueness and contributed to much of her outsider vibe as the beauty ideal of the period was statuesque, willowy and innocent. Hence her corset serves her wardrobe and vixenesque appeal this season.
@@77bluegold yes, and the actresses are real, not fictional. What is the purpose of not only putting them into corsets, but tight corsets for it not to even make a difference in the silhouette? Again, these were empire waist gowns they are known for being flowy.
How insane it is the amount of people who work on this show and not one single person has figured out yet that in the regency period women didn't wear corsets? I mean, it's been what? 5 years? They can't possible not know at this point, pleanty of time to research. Edit.: "not historically acurrated" is the bs lame excuse they come up with when they mess up. Why they give interviews saying that "women can't be alone with men because at that time..." but then when the garments are wrong suddently bc "it's not acurratered"? Be for real people. If it's not historically acurrated why not wear bras then? Stays are much simple, much comfortable and it's the norm for the "1810" which is when whistledown sets the show in the very first episode. Why then would the majority of women be still using the same empire waist line for all the seasons? A silhouette achivable without the need of a corset, a silhouette of when? Oh, wait, yes, the 1810. Stop with the lame cop outs. If it's not period acurrated why can't Marina be a single mom and raise her child in peace? Why couldn't Jack refuse to Marry Prudence? Why did Anthony wanted to duel Simon for Daphne's honor? And why would he need to leave after? Being anachronist doens't mean it doesn't need to keep some elements to ground te story in a time and place. That's literature class 101: every story needs a clear time and a grounded place.
They did but the time set for bridgerton is in the 1813 to 1827 but the first corsets date back to Ancient Greece but it wasn't until the Victorian era that it became more popular as a fashion staple. (specifically 1838) so yeah they really don't need to use corsets but 😂🤷♀️
JFC. The show is set in a fictional world. It IS NOT historicial. It has been repeated over the last 5 yrs. It's insane that you seem to be the only person who doesn't understand that.
They have explained time and time again that the show is not historically accurate. It is a fantasy and draws inspiration from different periods in terms of wardrobe and looks.
Maybe you should go look at documentaries if you want to see historically accurate clothes. This is a show set-up in a fantasy heightened Regency London 🙄
I'm going to convince myself that what we are seeing here (this poor man trying to interview them and never get to be looked into his eyes when answered) is method acting and the "manufacture" of chemistry I once saw Saint Christian Bale talking about on an interview. Otherwise, I could loose my grip. Really.
It’s funny that Pen is the wallflower and shy type but Nicola is such a Sunshine while Colin is always the center of attraction but Luke is like shy and reserved during interviews.
Nicola is so so charismatic like she lights up the room she’s in and so coolly and effortlessly😊

The dresses in Bridgerton are indeed so beautiful. Its just insanely gorgeous that one dress with amount of details
Nicola is soooo stunning😮 I'm so excited for this season!!!

Nicola and Luke forever 😍😍😍😍😍
4:29 WOW. Love that she is showing this. Want more.
Love this interview, especially the look into the hair and the costumes. The attention to detail is amazing! Can't wait for season 3!
7:40 Awesome that they talk about this. This tour is just so good, all the insides on costumes and hair
I loved how Nicola went full on and made the interviewer appreciate the hard work of the designers.
They must have a firm reason why they don’t do the interview by sitting down, because Luke and Nicole really looked like witnesses of some accidents that happened in 19th century and somehow they’re being investigated by a local detective 😭
i think it’s probably because of the costumes, to not get it wrinkled
@@marimercado5978 hmm that would be make sense
The costume designers, the hairdressers, make up artists, actors are all incredibly talented!
Incredible masterpiece 🌸
This season is gonna outshineeeee
She is literally enchanting!!

Nicola….. looks lovely
5:05 Oh this color is beautful
O inicio parece o Colin e à Penelope recebendo visitas depois de casados 😅😅😅❤❤
Aparte me encanta como Colin usa sus manos.
Lo veo tan dulce
that scene where penelope faints really intrigues me!
Какая красавица ❤
Interesting stuff!!
You can hear squaky old wooden floors as they walk into the room. This is not filmed in a studio🏰

But why are they putting her in a corset? The silhouette for regency era was very square and flowy. They had empire waist dresses. They used stays....

That is NOT a regency corset. It should give a tubular look, not hour glass
Not the wedding dress Easter egg 😵
