Because of my Father's family which hailed from Königsberg, although not Christian in doctrine ,were so Ethically, and culturally, so I have always been at home in Lutheran countries. This service, as Sankt Lucia celebrations, in Norway and Sweden, has a sanctity which is elusive to define but I think it is the simplicity and the sincerity of the celebration. In any case my aesthetic and spiritual soul is in the Baltic and especially at Christmas
