    Just drove thru Wyoming and drove back thru on I 80. Nothing to the left, nothing to the right. Correction. Gusty winds from the left, gusty winds from the right. Get out at gas station and the wind will keep you from opening the door. Once you win the battle, the wind will put something in your eye.

      Got caught in a week and a half wind storm at Twin Buttes with a large pop up camper , had to strap our camper to our suburban so it would not fold the camper over boat sat on it's trailer the whole time but we caught some large rainbows from the bank not giants but respectable 5 and 6 pounders out of some 15 campers we were the only ones to stay the week and hunker down and fish .we are die hard fishers..?

      I think that was the way mark meant it. shocking to us here in the pan handle of Florida. we have horrible hurricanes with 100% humidity. keeps the riff raff soggy

    I just got back from spending a week in Pinedale. Those people are tough. Temperature one morning was 28 degrees in the middle of June. I actually saw a guy cutting grass in shorts and tank top that morning and it was 35 degrees.

    I am looking at moving to Wyoming. and being from Minnesota, winter snow is part of MN life
    For me, it is the best time of year.
    Never send me to some hot humid environment.

      Hope you're a conservative. Not trying to make you upset but Wyoming is ultra conservative. We're good people but when people move here and try to change our way of life it doesn't go well. If you move here because you love our way of life then welcome to our beautiful proud state. Seen many people try living here only to end up moving back.

      I toured the 5 states in 2021 (SD, WY, MT, ID, and UT with a quick by pass through NE). Stopped and conversed with people in 15 different towns along my way. I want to know more than what the MSM news was telling me.
      Did you know there was a Socialist's / Marxist sign displayed in Gillette on a business. I was shocked to see it.
      Cody was the best. Loved the Rodeo's. Best 4th of July Parade I have ever seen in my entire life.
      Almost bought a business in Moorhead, but I am currently tied to various obligations in Minnesota before I can make a lifetime jump.

    Not a big deal after living years in Alaska. Coldest I encountered was -60 degrees Fahrenheit, with a -100 degrees windshield factor. After that, -10 is like a warm spring day; yes, shorts and tee-shirts come out.

      You know your doing good when all your stock and assorted animals are happy and healthy during the coldest part of winter and you look out at all that fire wood you cut and split for the winter and open your freezers and look upon all that meat you harvested , yup that's us life is what you make it ..?

      Moved to Buffalo valley in 2014 to work in the Grand Tetons Park,Now living in bondurant outside of pinedale,But I own my family home in Wakulla county, Florida.. I've had my two kids and every time We go to Florida from Wyoming, It's always on bad teams, Because of hurricanes... Michael was one of the worst in a long time 10 feet in the house, But I lived through Dennis and Andrew, My son is now 15 and will be 16 this year, He's lived in Florida and Alabama, He thinks it's dumb that still own my family home, After all the stress and pain But we had it in the family 8 generations, But he said as soon as I die he selling it Because he doesn't want to deal with it or have to have his sisters deal with it.

      Hurricane Michael took our whole town . I lived in Mexico Beach. Been here 20 years and nothing but hysteria behind what storm is in the Gulf. But Michael proved me a foolish man. And a foolish man survived to travel around the country and I got to ride to Pinedale. I like Pinedale well enough

    Went there this summer. Best damn fishing and people I’ve met anywhere in the country. But the weather and mosquitoes are brutal!

    An outdoor store in Pinedale gave me some topo-maps to use while I went back packing in the mountains on the condition that I return the maps after my trip. Of course I happily returned the maps. Very nice people in Pinedale! I think that was 1986 ...

    Pine Dale is in grow zone 4a. Average winter bottom low is -30 to -25. She may have meant -40 wind chill. Most residents are smart enough not to go out in weather like that or be prepared to deal with it. Pine Dale's average Dec low is 2, Jan low is 0, and Feb low is 3.

      @@nmelkhunter1 I've lived in Wyoming for the past 12 years and it's only reached -30 once, never seen -40. However, Pinedale has a slightly higher elevation than we do. That's the thing about this state, it all depends on where you're located.

    Yes minus 40 and don’t forget the Mountain range there isn’t called the Wind River Range for nothing. Minus temps with high winds and it piles the snow high and turns it to concrete. You can drive a big truck over a drift it’s so solid.

      FOLKS HERE IN FL ,Some came to escape that much snow. I never saw myself living in FL. I always have loved the north west and the mountains. I lived in southern OR for 9 years. Panama City FL is now home. what a change. love the warm waters. Have a fishing boat and can motorcycle year round, but i still love visiting Pinedale.ty for your comments

      @@parcadv419 yes..then Glendo then we did not get fish at Glendo so we packed up and drove at night to Walden Co. Cowdry was great for big Rainbows seems they love that copper spoon , ate some nice meals of fresh rainbow trout , now we are camped at Delaney Butts the fishing is better at night Browns on Wooly buggers all colors olive, black green with 4ft leader with bubble copper spoon just before dark we got good hits and ate 2 nice Browns last night ..? Good luck ..

    Actually Frasier, Colorado is the coldest and has held the record for many years and only to be beaten out by a town in Northern Mn. twice.

      When we planed this motorcycle trip. The weather was of most importance . Where we live it rarely gets below freezing. One day we where riding in the summer heat and the next day snow in the mountains of Colorado. Ty for your involvement in this post.

    Same snowfall occurs in the Dakota's, Montana, NY (not the city). Word of advice - make sure your door opens in so it's possible to open it up and tunnel your way out - all that fresh snow is good for grey water use inside too, or if purified - for hydration.

      I’ve seen videos of this very thing. Only a problem if you don’t have an overhang or a drift presents itself on your front doorstep. Then again most homes have a back door. Trailers, not so much ;-)

    Ha Ha...here is the actual data for the coldest month of the year...December.
    Record High 56 Deg F
    Average High 29 Deg F
    Average Low 3 Deg F
    Record Low -49 Deg F
    So the AVERAGE temperature in a normal December is probably about 15 Degrees....so the -40 comment is only off by 55 degrees.
    Average snowfall is 76" per year.

      She wasn't pulling anyone's leg. Pinedale is a cold town in the winter. The whole western half of Wyoming is very cold temperatures in winter. I do alot of ice fishing on Fremont lake. It's a beautiful town. Winter is long in Wyoming. We have high elevations here. I camped in Pinedale in late April and it was still below 0 at night. Summer is short in Wyoming. That's not to discourage anyone. Come here in all the seasons and find out for yourselves. Check out the job market, too. Not a lot of high paying jobs here. Wyoming is full of natural resources. which used to be wonderful for the state. But with the current administration, that's not the case anymore. Every state has their good and bad points. Those are just facts anyone can check for themselves. Land isn't cheap here either. I've lived here for 41 years ,and this will always be my home.

      Calm down WA. I was just pointing out the exaggeration of the video comment. Forty below average? Sorry man that’s an exaggeration. Is it cold in Cheyenne/Pinedale/all of Wyoming? Of course it is. Rest assured, you do not know who you are talking to. I’ve spent plenty of time in that neck of the woods, in all months. Never been ice fishing, never interested me but my BIL wants to get me hooked, we will see.

      Telling a lot of family and friends about the Wind River ridge,Gannett peak is highest elevation in Wyoming and is the backdrop of the town of pinedale.
      The Wind River reservation has the highest crime rate of any rezs in the United States, And The movie Wind River,Was based off of a true story that happened here.
      Edited since Im dyslexic, And I use speech to talk sometimes, I've lived in Buffalo valley, Colter Bay, And Pinedale for the past 6 year now, Gannett peck is in Fremont county, And Fremont lake is in Sublette county,But like I said it's still the backdrop of Pinedale..Pick up any Postcard, Souvenirs or look up the city of Pinedale, Just driving in to Pinedale either way You see it... Yes I'm originally from Florida,But I've probably put more time on the roads here in Wyoming then,Then most people here,It's nothing to drive from Moran to Star valley in a day.

    Having live in Florida all my life I can appreciate the drama of what he described but like anything else "you get used to it". I am considering relocating to Colorado or Washington state but to be honest Wyoming was never on my list of possible states for relocation. It has nothing to do with the weather but more so because it's just so depopulated and poor. There isn't much infrastructure there to speak of.

      @@parcadv419 Believe it or not before I moved here I was born and raised in North Central Florida. Couldn't deal with the bugs, humidity or heat anymore but I miss the waters, ocean and friends. I was offered a job out here and ran. Note...your leg will return to its socket shortly😉.

      @@heidimarchant5438 Im, doing better daily, And im from southern cal and did an 8 year stent in Oregon.Medford to be exact. The humidity is awful and the bugs i call creatures. not even insects. I love the north west and all its beauty. I will be one another motorcycle trip this June and looking forward to another visit to Pindale. this time maybe you guys there can carry a big piece of wool . lol. ps how long have you been there

      @@heidimarchant5438, Born and raised south of Tallahassee Florida, still on my family home in Wakulla, But I was so tired of Drugs and crime there, Plus the hurricanes are still a pain in my butt,But I'm happy I took the job in the Grand Teton Park here... No don't get me wrong come summertime the mosquitoes here or bad But I haven't had to kill a yellow fly here

      I can agree with that. We stopped outside of Pinedale and a couple local bikers got chatting with us. Envied us to ride with them . We found everyone out there super nice.

      @@parcadv419 Video titles can alwayd be editted by the creator without affecting the view count. Some professional creators make a point of changing both the title AND thumbnail of their videos to experiment with which ones generating the most response by potential viewers.

So I have done just that, that you mentioned. Click bait and titles with trending subject matter and it works a bit. But sometimes a video just isn't interesting enough.or it's no pure to the subject matter of the channel . If the Channel is a travel type channel. Motorcycle specs and pics don't do the viewer service. Etc. Ty for actually participating in my channel. And if you haven't done so yet, subscribe and be part of the growth to 1000 subscribers.       All of that area is beautiful. I myself lived in Oregon for 8 years. I could only work about 10 months of the year due to the winter snow. We didn't care.
