Fixing an old Palm Bay guitar

This is a Palm Bay guitar. The machine heads broke 15 years ago. I tried to fix it back then but ordered the wrong machine heads where the screw hole was the opposite side. I attempted to make new holes but failed.
This is the second attempt.
