There's a few games that are similar to it on the GBA called Iridion 3D and Iridion 2. There's also Star X on GBA which is more like Star Fox on SNES.

This game deserved better
I knew something about this game was familiar. Manfred Trenz, he is the one responsible for a little known gem on the Super Famicom, recently re-released in the west for the SNES by LimitedRun games, called Rendering Ranger R2. The level start screens are exactly the same in both of them and some enemy designs are similar as well.
Also, I can the Iridion 3D connection here, but I can't validate who or what connents both these projects together.
