Get on. That's so cool. Yaris T Sport is a good car. Junior hot hatch. Toyota engineering. Very reliable. Well built. Thank you for commenting. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)
Gonna be honest this video is one of the main things that sold me on buying a T Sport around 4 months ago and it's proven to be fantastic. Thank you again for the video! Just need to hunt down a TTE backbox :P
It’s my pleasure and that’s Fantastic Aza :). I'm glad I could help you find your next car :). I still have a lot of fond memories of the Yaris T Sport :). I really enjoyed the ownership :). It never let me down mechanically or electrically. It was always a Sporty car I could rely on and had a lot of fun owning her. I enjoyed making the Honest Review of the car. I’m glad I’ve been able to make sure this icon is remembered through TH-cam. Hunting TTE backbox sounds awesome :). Good luck Aza :). That’s the only thing I kind of regret is the fact I didn’t get a more free-flowing exhaust system to just help open up the noises from the 1.5 VVTI engine. I sure it would have sounded awesome :). Thumbs up to you Aza trying to find a TTE backbox. I know you will find one in the end. Make a video on your Channel so we can hear the difference from the Stock Exhaust note to the Sexy TTE Exhaust noise :). Luke Rides would so watch that :). Thank you for your kind and awesome comment. it means a lot :). Hopefully, we will speak again. Take care Aza
Haha. Thank you for such an interesting comment lukegamer167. The Yaris T Sport is a lovely hot hatch. Haha. GR Yaris. That would be epic. GR Yaris. Toyota made that for rallying. Turbo charged. Woohoo. Just seeing the videos of GR Yaris is exciting. They sound amazing. We do live in a world like this. At the time Luke Rides saved and saved but could afford the Yaris T Sport. Nothing more powerful or interesting than that. Yaris T Sport did well. Always reliable and fast for a little car. It's very difficult nowadays with how much everything is costing just to live. Food. Electric. Gas. Internet. Fuel. So many things are so expensive compared to before the war in Ukraine. Yaris T Sport did well. Luke Rides is now BMW and would never go back. Luke Rides still has fun memories of the Yaris T Sport. Hehe. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)
Wow. That's so cool. Possibly could be. Yaris T Sport was epic. Good junior hot hatch. Toyota build quality. Always reliable and for Luke Rides only thing that needed replacing was the water pump. That was not because it failed. It actually least longer than Toyota say in AutoData. The water pump started to be louder than usually. And was replaced. That was it. Thank you for such a good comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)
Awww. Thank you fighel412. The Yaris T Sport is an amazing Junior hot hatch. To think Toyota built this all the way back in 2001. Haha. Glad Luke Rides honest review has been able to help you. Luke Rides is very honoured to bring honest review of the Yaris T Sport to TH-cam. Luke Rides is not like the other big motovloggers who are biased towards a brand and don't tell the truth about the car so that they don't upset the manufacturer. Luke Rides will always tell the truth. Toyota Yaris T Sport still looks good to this day. Hehe. Thank you for such a great comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)
Thank you Smotske. Toyota did such a great job with the colour. The lacquer and metallic blue is smooth and quality. Toyota engineering and a rare colour for the time by Toyota. Bring something different to the roads. And stands out. Good junior hot hatch. Thank you for such a nice comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)
Had one exactly the same in 2001 when they first came out. Part exd my yari SR. A completely different car from the standard yaris range. Handling is amazing with a bit lift off oversteer, and pin point handling. Im looking to buy another so my son can learn to drive. Itll be for me mainly. Love them
Haha. Thank you for such a cool and wonderful comment here @ Luke Rides Graham. Luke Rides really appreciates it. The Yaris T Sport was such a fun and brilliant Hot hatch. That's amazing you had the same one when Toyota brought Yaris T Sport into our Britain. Brilliant. Toyota did such an epic fun job turning their 1.5 engine with Variable valve timing which was pretty advanced in it's day only beaten by BMW's advanced Valvetronic Systems. It was fast. Good fun. Could even make the front tyres spin. Haha. Toyota had fun with the Yaris. Then Toyota pulled back from making their own fast fun cars in their class. Went to just standard cars and moved towards the Hybrid Systems. As technology got better and better and more reliable in Battery technology. Luke Rides in a few ways misses his Yaris T Sport but moved on to the beauty and sexy super sonic BMW's. Yaris T Sport did Luke Rides proud. Haha. Wow. Graham part ex Yaris SR towards the Yaris T Sport. Wow. That is pretty amazing. It sure was. And looked good too. With that lovely Side Skirt. Wing. More powerful aggressive styling. And Thanks to Toyota racing development being involved and improving the Yaris T Sport. Making it the fast hot hatch it is. Toyota did such a great job. Yaris T Sport handling is amazing fast. You can see why Yaris earned the name T Sport. Toyota Sport. Haha. Wow. Graham. That is incredible what an epic and brilliant sport car for your amazing son to learn in. Because his young he wouldn't quite get it but to learn in such a car. He doesn't know how lucky and how awesome that is. Well done for being a good dad and looking after your amazing son. That is family. That is blood. Hehe. Luke Rides is the same. Mainly for myself. Haha. Aww. Graham. You will be like nope can't drive Yaris T Sport today son just need to bed in it's new tyres. Haha. you'll be finding any excuse to bring that puppy out on the road. It's definitely an honour and amazing thing to get to drive Yaris T Sport. To get to experience Hot hatch of the early 2000's. And from quality brand like Toyota. Reliable. Well built cars. Even the Brake lines on the Yaris T Sport instead of just being bear metal exposed to road salt and corrosion. Toyota fitted at their expense plastic outer coating. Plastic Coating around the main brake lines. To give the Brake lines protection and stop rain road salt from rusting and eating away at the surface of the brake lines. That's amazing to see Toyota put that effort and extra time into their engineering. To do that for their Sport cars. It shows Toyota exactly care about what they build. Impressive ;) Hope your stay safe from coronavirus Graham. Full year so sorry Luke Rides hasn't replied Graham for so long. Luke Rides has wave of positive and amazing comments to catch up on. It's kind of like a mountain. Haha. Luke Rides doesn't have secretary. Yet. Hehe. Luke Rides always loves replying back to every wonderful comment personally. Wow :). Thank you so much Chris B. I really appreciate your really kind comment :). Toyota Yaris T Sport truly was such a great lightweight and junior hot hatch :). I have a lot of fond memories of Luke Rides's Toyota Yaris T Sport. In the right colour as well :). Toyota Yaris T Sport was such fun to drive and never let me down mechanically nor electrically. Toyota Yaris T Sport was so bulletproof and reliable :). Toyota really put the effort and workmanship into building the Yaris T Sport. Toyota Yaris T Sport was actually my second car in my motoring history at Luke Rides. I do miss it. After the Yaris T Sport I then went into BMW's and I now drive a Junior Supercar :). I will always have good memories of the Toyota Yaris T Sport and glad I got the chance to own her in my lifetime. Even to this day I would always recommend the Toyota Yaris T Sport to anyone looking for a fast Junior Hot Hatch that will never let you down. Built incredibly well :). Toyota always do built such reliable cars :). Toyota Yaris T Sport's are super affordable too :). Thank you so much for commenting Chris B :). It's great to get back to you and talk to you Chris. I get that. It's 2 interesting Cars to choose from :). I have Googled Ignis 1.5 GTI and It sure gets good reviews online. Yaris T Sport sure does look more futuristic than Ignis 1.5 and wins in the looks department. I have many fond memories of my Yaris T Sport. The engine was revvy and a lot of fun. Toyota definitely did put a good Engine into the Yaris T Sport. Never had any Mechanical nor Electrical let downs with my Yaris T Sport. Toyota built a very rock solid sporty car :). I never felt like Toyota cheaped out with the Yaris T Sport when it was built all those years ago. I would still recommend the Yaris T Sport but go with whatever you think is right :). I hope this was helpful for you :). Thanks for commenting
Thank you for commenting Adz Win. God that's not good. I'm honestly not sure :(. I wish I could help. The Rattle could be some many different things. From a loose plastic panel, bad tensioner, something in the engine loose or shearing off. I remember many years I could hear a whining like noise from Luke Rides Toyota Yaris T Sport. It actually turned out it was the Water Pump within the engine. Got the Water Pump replaced with Genuine OEM Toyota part for the Yaris T Sport and problem sorted. The whine was gone. But that may not be what's happening to your car. It could be something completely different. Sorry I couldn't help. I'm unfortunately not a trained mechanic and I've never met that fault before. Good luck Adz Win. I hope the fault is found and all fixed up. Stay safe out there Adz Win and let me know if you track down the fault and got it all fixed. It would great to know what it was :). Luke Rides hey first of all ‘thank you’ for spending the time in writing this message . It means a lot to me and I really appreciate the time in replying 👌 hopefully I will get to the problem . Otherwise I might just look for another car. I think the sound is coming from the ‘crank’ near the airbox and it don’t look good tbh. I’ve changed the oil . Spark plugs , alternator but the sound is coming from near the air box.. The car it on 144,000 miles and I’ve had it 2 years and my hearts telling me to keep driving till it dies which is not good . I’ve spent loads of monies on the car . Hopefully it can be repaired as the cars in mint condition . Take care and stay safe and once again ‘thank you’ ever so much! What a champ you are !!!
It already has Hydraulic Suspension Dampers on ever corner Plus Springs. Do you mean Air Suspension? If so sounds like a expensive project for little sporty car which is comfortable anyway. Toyota did a really good job with the Suspension from Factory. Hydraulic Suspension fitted I found was just stiff enough for a good sport drive but also wasn't rock hard so it was actually comfortable to drive too :)
Naaa! I purchased a 1.3L auto 13 yrs ago with FSH for £3,700 with 68,000 miles.Has 90,000m now and still drives smooth and sweet as a nut today!! It's £2,500 max for a Sport with that miles & year. Nice. To think Toyota built the Yaris T Sport all the way back in the early 2000s and they are still here today. Toyota engineering. Luke Rides never had any problems with his Yaris T Sport.
