'Brahmins Cafe Bar' is popular among the older generation, not everyone likes the taste, but the food is fresh & healthy though it is small. So it is kind of a miracle to watch. In India mostly people stare at you....something you need to get adjusted. For eg, if you look gorgeous, you would get all the stares. I envy you.....missing Idli and vada.
In Nagarjuna restaurant, maybe they were staring at you, wondering how you gonna eat without the spoon and fork and also you mixed the papad with the biryani... 😁😁😁

Vadas in Bangalore and Mangalore are really excellent.. I don’t like them Pre-Soaked in Sambar or chutney as I like them crisp. Cut them up into each piece and then wholly soak each piece into Sambar or Chutney and enjoy the crispy crunchiness with the freshly mixed Sambar or Idli..
Now I’m hungry.

Yes Vinni I too im a mangalorean born and brought up there my most precious place did my education at st aloysius College then NItte engg .. after 1991 sadly I only "visit" my home town Mangalore during holidays.
For me Mangalore is the most beautiful place in the world. Sorry I'm biased here as its my home town. But yes beautiful beaches churches temples . People speak 5 languages there kannada tulu konkani English and beary ( urdu) . It's an educational hub college universities . I luv my Mangalore. ❤
if possible Steph and Pete and the young hero Hayes should visit Mangalore👍it's a heaven for foodies - the fish recipes, the kori rotti chicken curry , pork bafat , also lot of veg dishes too. 😋. From Bangalore to Mangalore there is this vistadome train day time a beautiful experience glass ceilings rotatable chairs I think around 10 hours travel time but beautiful scenic views of the ghats section Bangalore hassan Mangalore.
