I never had the guts to jump off the bridge! I remember my dad used to take us to Bloxworth for the conker trees there... quiet Sunday mornings in late September. Great area, wish I’d appreciated it more when I was growing up. Perhaps I did, but never articulated it
Hi Tim. Just watched your 4 episodes about Warham and found them very interesting. We've a caravan at Ridge Camp site which I assume you know of. We really enjoy walking a long the river to the bridge at Wareham and frequently see areas of interest which we know nothing about. Really informative video's and thank you for sharing your knowledge . Most weekends we're at the caravan so will investigate the area more. TT4now Tony and Jacqueline
Thanks for your encouragment, Tony - I wasn't sure how much of a vanity exercise making the videos was. About all my earliest memories are from Carey, Northmoor Park, larking around "up the forest". I got out to Arne and Ridge a few times, had friends in Stoborough. I wish to see more around that side of Poole Harbour but times back in Dorset are with my parents and fewer than I'd like.
Fond memories for me, going up to school from Carey, then Northmoor Park - before the flyover went over the train line and all the traffic went right past the station
Hello Jim - thanks for commenting. Yes I agree it is of my head in this instance. Indeed a self-indulgent trip down memory lane. At the time of making this I was awaiting delivery of my stabilisation gimbal; I returned to Wareham Walls and filmed a loop around the perimeter and a bit more - playlist starting here: th-cam.com/video/Qbw3U1Oeg3Y/w-d-xo.html Less me, more Wareham :)
Gosh, Stuart - good to hear from you - sorry I've just only noticed your comment! I'll forgive you :) - fond memories of larking around at Wareham Middle
That was good. Wareham is a part of my DNA as well. Jumping off the bridge etc. I lived in Bloxworth but we always came down to Wareham on our bikes.

How lovely; I appreciate Wareham far more now than when I was growing up there
Interesting, but it seems most of the video is of your head. Perhaps consider turning the camera around and showing more of what you’re talking about.
