Bought one for my 8 year old son, super worth it, especially the tracking, safe zones, easy to monitor, texts and alerts when he walks into school and leaves.

Divorced dad with a question about these watches. My ex wife got both of my sons a watch. They can text her phone,but I asked her to make it so they can text me. She said it only has room for one person to text to to,but is she lying?
@@darkpoet18 according to the discrimination you can have up to 25 contacts.
@@darkpoet18 mom has to add the numbers to the contact list and there’s definitely more than one contact available on the devices. Go to the website, screenshot it and send it to her and tell her you know she’s lying.

I guess that would be the angel watch. I think that that's good to have in case there's bullies. I think that's a very important feature that should be added or it will make people use a different product unfortunately..
When you're dealing with children that need to be monitored and they are around other children without adults, it's pretty important to monitor conversations.
The phone let's you limit their call list so you can allow only people you want.

my brothers Gabb phone has been unplugged since he got it- it's been 4 days. He's at 30%. At least you know the battery life on the Z2 is INSANE.
My daughter uses her watch consistently and we have to charge it every two days which is less than my phone needs to be charged! (Every night)

No they can't type their own message but you can set more presets and they are able to record voice recordings and send those as a text 😊

I saw this and imagined myself as a kid from the 80s… this is like Penny’s watch from Inspector Gadget.
While this thing is cool… as soon as your kids are old enough to understand that this is a virtual leash, they will outsmart the technology and leave it where they are supposed to be and go wherever they want.
They need to have a sensor on it that detects temperature so if your kid takes it off you know they aren’t wearing it.
@@PabstOban Motion tracking with a timer. If the watch is still for more than say 15-30 mins then it can alert you. It shouldn't be hard to implement in the software since the watch already has a gps and accelerometer (for motion).
Seems like it does everything except shock your kid. It's like an ankle bracelet for there wrist.
I'm sure you can add the shock feature in the app 😈

I am pretty sure his son can only receive call/text from preset numbers, which are set by guardians.
What if somehow the kid takes the watch off at a certain location and you go there and the kid is not there

That's what the manufacturer needs to work in either to add up too motion detector if the device is motionless for like 15-20 it will send a signal or heat sensor,if the device is not with definitely the temperature sensor will send a signal

These things are complete junk. I just got one and regret it. The buttons are hard to press and do not respond. You can tell that it is very cheap. I would not want my kid to depend on this.
